As the visitor waltz inside my room, I then closed the door and locked it, nonchalantly following her back.
The fake Nino headed straight to the kitchen, without any trace of danger as if she's already used to visiting a boys room all by herself.
Even though I'd read the sister's middle school data given to me by the School Director. I still can't confidently rule out which among the quintuplets sisters I'm meeting right now.
Putting aside Nino, Miku is the shy but blunt one, Itsuki is the most hard working, Yotsuba is the cheerful and sporty then Ichika is a social butterfly.
Someone that can perfectly copy a person's behavior and personality, in other words—an actress.
The second youngest of the sisters, Yotsuba, is definitely out of the question when it comes to acting.
Which leaves three people in mind.
“What do you want for dinner, Ayanokouji~?” she turned her face over her shoulder, asking me a very familiar question.
Is she testing me?
Well for her to grasp Nino's ways of doing things when she's together with me, although not that perfect, I can simply guess that she heard about it from her.
It's supposed to be “What will we be studying?” first before “What should we have for tonight?” cliche flow of conversation.
However, since the evening is almost old, I guess she went straight for dinner because girls can't stay late inside the boys room due to the curfew.
Easily adjusting to the situation, I see.
Or I'm just overthinking things, because there is still the fact that they are unfortunately not that sharp.
Not that it matters though. Only one thing is certain, she has a purpose for visiting me.
I guess I will also act as a fool, pretending to dance in the palm of her hand.
“I'll handle dinner tonight,” I said. “You can stay in the living room and turn on the television.”
My response is not how I usually treated Nino as she always took the initiative and won't take no as an answer.
Let's make a personal assessment about what kind of individual I am dealing with right now.
“Kay~” –she raised her arms into the air. “Do your best.” Then she nonchalantly went towards the living room.
Sighed.
Not that I'm disappointed because she didn't insist on helping me in the kitchen. In fact, due to Nino, I can confidently cook a decent meal by myself.
Processing the foods that I had known ever since the cooking lessons of Nino started. I then decided to make a rice omelet, easy to cook and not that flashy.
“By the way, Ayanokouji~”
I was about to open the fridge to pick up eggs when she suddenly called me.
“........” I didn't say anything and just simply glanced at her.
“Say my name.” she muttered it in a low tone, giving me the impression that she's feeling down because ever since she arrived, I didn't call her.
“...Nino?” I soften my voice as much as possible.
Still mentioning Nino’s name, even though I know that it's not her, makes me uncomfortable for some unknown reason.
She gave me a warm smile and then started walking again, feeling satisfied with what happened.
‘Now I know the reason Nino is head over heels to this Ayanokouji person. Not only does he have a good-looking face, but he is also quite charming.’
