CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE X QUINTS: Complicated Feelings

Ichinose SS (Lovelorn)

Ash gray clouds turned into white cumulus. A clear sunny day welcomed the students on their first day of the weekend in the month.

A messy strawberry-blonde sleeping figure, instantly jumped off her bedroom as soon as the alarm clock reached her ears. Ichinose was eagerly excited to start her day when she heard of the news last evening.

As part of their class's cooperative relationship, Kushida had filled her in on the details; especially about a certain student's contribution to the outcome of the proceeding. She couldn't wait to congratulate him in person, it's only a part of her plan though, she wanted to hangout with him to be able to get to know him better.

Ichinose went inside the bathroom to take a shower, after that she looked for simple yet cute outfits inside her closet. It would take a great amount of time for the girl to finish preparing herself.

Almost an hour had passed since the first scene. Outside of the closed door, stood a gorgeous girl in white t-shirt and blue short skirt. Ichinose was originally planning to go all-out in her appearance, but changed her mind in the end. 

Ichinose’s small fingers nervously gripped the strap of her mini sling-bag. Unlike taking a visit to her female friend's rooms, knocking to a boy; not to mention she didn't contact him beforehand, raised her embarrassment into another level.

She lifted her arm, her index finger only an inch away from the doorbell. Ichinose was contemplating her decision to rush things, but a particular remark “You don't know anything about Ayanokouji-kun.” crossed her mind. She steeled her resolve and pushed the button.

Ding

It only takes a few moments for the other side to answer. The door was slowly opened, a brown-haired boy, who's currently half-naked with only a white towel covering his lower part, greeted her on the other side of the door.

His hair was still wet, and a number of water drops could be traced on his upper body, implying that he just got out of the shower.

Ichinose’s eyes widened from witnessing his well-toned body, a pink tint flushed on her cheeks. Ayanokouji just realized the awkward situation between them, he sighed. “Please give me a moment.” The girl nodded, and he proceeded to shut the door.

The strawberry-blonde turned beet-red as soon as he was away. Her heart was crazily pounding from different kinds of emotions rushing inside her body from the unbelievable sight. She touched her left chest, trying to control the sound of her heartbeat that felt like it could be heard to the other side of the door.

The door swung open again, this time, he wore a plain gray shirt and pajamas.

“What are you doing here, Ichinose?”

Her excitement turned disheartened as he greeted her coldly, the same as usual.

“Good morning, Ayanokouji-kun,” she maintained a warm smile. “I wanted to personally congratulate you for foiling Ryueen’s plan.”

Ichinose went straight to the point, and hoped he would comment about her appearance, then invite her inside, but instead she was utterly disappointed.

“Oh, Thank you,” he said with a bored look. “That’s all?”

She almost lost her smile from his indifferent attitude. Ichinose heavily sighed, she pouted and looked the other way.
