A brown-haired boy passed through the open door. He shut it, casting a side-glance at the person calmly seated in the middle of the room.“Have a seat,” he welcomed. “What can I do for you, Kiyotaka-kun?”
He sat down on the couch, rested on his back before he started his business.
“I want to use my reward.” he spoke directly, planning to wrap everything as the faster it ends, the less suspicious the others after witnessing him entering the guidance office.
“Why?” his eyes widened, but managed to compose himself. “Ahem, may I hear the details?”
It was not a request, but an order.
Chairman Sakayanagi prompted him to state his reason. Ayanokouji Kiyotaka knew how important those rewards are for him, and he couldn't afford to use it recklessly in case of some unforeseen event to take place, he’s curious and intrigued.
“I thought your hands were full of school matters, Chairman Sakayanagi,” he said. “I never expect you to have free time in minding students' affairs.”
The brown-haired narrowed his eyes, staring at the purple gradient pupils.
“You’re a different case, Kiyotaka-kun,” he picked the cup, and took a sip of the already lukewarm tea. “I am aware of how calculated all of your actions are, I need to hear your reason and your motivation for doing so, as to judge whether I’ll grant your request or not. School is my priority over you, remember these, Kiyotaka-kun.”
He nodded his head. The brown-haired was not in the slightest intimidated, he knew of his limits, the person in front of him was not someone he could handle for now.
“I hear you, Chairman.” he nodded. “On Friday, there will be a proceeding about a complaint from the Class C first year students against a Class D student in the same year.”
Sakayanagi leaned forward, intrigued by the boy's next words.
“I’m uncertain of who will overview the meeting, but I want you to make both parties receive the same punishment.”
The chairman tilted his head on the side, appearing confused about his words, especially in the last statement.
“Why would you want your classmate to be punished as well? It’s more profitable if only the other side receives the burn, am I wrong?”
Despite his calm and soft gestures, this man hides his fangs under a tight mask. Ayanokouji never believed him to be too kind of a person. He’s always careful when talking with those awfully kind adults.
“Well, because it's a lost case to begin with,” he shrugged off his shoulder. “Also, I never intended to help that guy, he reaps what he saw, but this time someone is pulling the strings. He still deserves it though.”
The chairman stared at his brown eyes. He released a sigh, and then rested his back on the chair.
“Is it a grudge?” he asked.
He simply shook his head.
“I see,” he didn't believe him. “Then are you fine for your low points to be deducted any less?”
“No, make the punishment only class suspension, the class points should not remain as it is.”
“Hmm, manipulating the whole outcome over a simple complaint seems too insignificant for someone like me to interfere, you need more explanation to convince me, Kiyotaka-kun.”
He smiled at the boy. Ayanokouji knew this old man's sharpness, but he’d be grateful if he wouldn't dwell further.
He’d no choice, but to comply.
“I’d stated that it's a lost case, no matter how we played our cards, even the existence of a witness, our class will always receive the losing end. And based on my observation of this school, most punishment, or demerits always involve class points. The outcome will certainly affect those students who work hard to earn it, only for it to vanish over a small scuffle because of a particular someone. I don't want my efforts to be wasted, I'm talking about the sisters in my class.”
Basically, Ayanokouji wanted to avoid Itsuki and Miku to feel discouraged from the aftermath of the result.
“I see,” he cast a warm smile. “Understood, you can count on me.”
The brown-haired stood up from his seat, and turned his back towards the door.
“Any suggestions for the punishment?” the silver-haired asked before he completely left the place.
“Two weeks, two weeks suspension.” he said without looking back.
The chairman simply nodded in response.
