Chapter 3- feelings

(Y/n POV)
I spent the night in Severus' chamber just to make sure he can keep me from attempting anything like that again and he gave me detention, not that he wanted to but it was school policy that any student out of bed or common room after 11 pm had to receive detention. I was okay with it though. He offered to sleep on the sofa but realised it was best to watch me to make sure I didn't do anything stupid, so he slept next to me. Both of us in his bed. I immediately sank into the comfy memory foam mattress, sinking deeper when Severus climbed in. Even though we were about 6 inches apart, I still felt his warmth, it felt heavenly, like sitting in front of the fire on a cold winter night in a onesie drinking hot chocolate maybe watching a nice Christmas or one of those muggle Disney films. Yes I went very specific. I turned over to see his face fast asleep, his dark greasy locks were blocking his eyes so I moved the hair to reveal the peacefully sleeping Professor dreaming away. I felt a very strange urge, I wanted to give him a kiss, not on his forehead or nose or cheek but on his chapped thin lips. I moved in slightly closer but snapped out of my trance before I regretted what I was doing. I don't know why I had the urge to kiss him on his lips but it kept lingering in my head it caused me to sleep less too. I turned to look at the clock and I read it was 4:30 am, I didn't think there was any point in trying to sleep so I just lay there reading a book I saw on the floor I started reading. About an hour or so into reading, I read a crazy funny paragraph that I in fact woke Severus up whilst laughing. He groaned tiredly "oh sorry, did I wake you?" I asked as he turned to face me.

"Yes you did, what is it you're laughing at?" He asked in a soft tone. This soft, baritone voice sent a shiver down my spine, is it true? Did I start to develop feelings for Severus? NO (Y/n) YOU CANT HES YOUR PROFESSOR!

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to but I was laughing at what this character said in this book," I replied back to him. "Did you sleep well anyway?"

"Yes thank you, did you,(y/n)?" He asked "actually I don't really think there's an answer for that"

"It's okay ,Severus, but no I couldn't get back to sleep at all,"

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that," he said whilst getting up out of bed. "Come on we'd better get ready,"

"Yeah you're right, I'm just gonna hop in the shower if that's okay?" I asked him.

"That's fine go ahead, the towels are in that bottom drawer," he said pointing to a chest of drawers with a gothic design to them.

(6 pm)
I arrived at the great hall and sat down with my group of friends. Sebbie,Maddie, Jade and Rowan. We decided to sit on the Hufflepuff table since most of us in the group were hufflepuffs but trouble was we couldn't really get away with much due to the fact that we were literally at the end by the professors table, we didn't care though as Maddie is Snape's friend and Dumbledore's god daughter. We all decided to gossip as Maddie was stalking all of the professors on Facebook, she found a pic of Dumb Bitch at the beach in a bright pink fucking bikini. "WAS THERE ANY NEED FOR THAT MAD?!" Rowan yelled, her reaction was so funny it sent me, Sebbie and Jade wheezing and I think Maddie too. Time went pretty quickly and I saw Snape walking out the great hall until I looked at my watch and it was 6:55 "Sorry guys I have to go I have a detention with Snape,"

"Oh shit, good luck (n/n)" said Jade. We all said bye to one another and I sauntered out of the great hall and quickly made my way to feel a cold shiver as I entered the dungeon. I knocked reluctantly on the dark brown tattered door until a very deep "come in," responded. I opened up to see Severus on his desk waiting for my presence. "Hello,(y/n), I don't really have anything for you to do but you can sit here next to me and help grade these papers for your class," he said patting his hand on the stool next to him. I sat down got out my quill and ink pot and started grading with Severus. A few minutes passed and I couldn't help but look at Severus' face, his face of concentration was somehow really attractive to me, I smiled softly at him until he caught a glimpse of me looking at him and I looked away blushing from I don't know what. Feelings or embarrassment.

(Snape POV)
I had detention with (y/n) due to the fact she was out of bed after curfew. I didn't complain though, she was a lovely girl and I've seen something in her that reminded me so much of Lily it started when she was in her 5th year here but I kept trying to suppress the fact I had feelings for her because she's Maddie's best friend,I'm a professor and I could lose my job if I started dating her and she'd get expelled. Perhaps after she graduates it'll be fine.I set her the task of helping me grade papers which wasn't much problem for her ,luckily. A few minutes went by and I caught a glimpse of (y/n) softly smiling at me. As I looked at her she started to blush and got back to her task, I thought it was insanely cute and it made me curious as to what she was thinking about.

Come on (y/n) you need to stop, you know you can't be with him he's just so......

She glimpsed at me sadly as tears started to brim in her eyes.

Did she call me perfect? "Is everything okay,(y/n)?" I asked her reassuringly.

"Oh yeah sorry, Severus, I got lost in thought," she replied. I thought nothing of her own thoughts, she might just be thinking of some other boy in her year .... Or was it.... Me? I didn't know what to think or say to her due to the fact she looked in pain. I didn't want to ruin anything, I didn't want Maddie to stop being friends with her or to start distancing from me, so I kept quiet.
