A romantic adventure

Chapter 6- christmas

(Y/n POV)
I woke up on my cozy common room sofa, to the look of a huge pile of gifts under the Christmas tree. And they were all. Mine. I received so much.

After half an hour, I'd opened all of my gifts, to all I was happy with. One of them even made me tear up, something I received from my uncle. It was a picture of me and Jacob playing on the park in our home town back we were little kids, I loved that day so much, I was about 10 when we took that pic and I think he was 12 or 11, I knew he was one of them since he'd already started his time at Hogwarts. As I watched the picture dance away, silent tears rolled down my cheeks, I never had a Christmas the same since Jacob disappeared and this year was no different. Family was in Australia but I didn't complain though, Hogwarts is my home, it's where my friends are, my friends are my family, my everything.

An owl flew into my common room with a sack of even more gifts and a letter.

I loved that girl like I loved my family, she was my family. I felt so grateful that I'd gotten some gifts from her and even Severus. It somewhat surprised me that Severus actually got me some stuff, i loved it though, it just made my love for him grow and grow more. I opened my first gift from Maddie, a cute little jewellery box. It was black with some gold accents on it, truly me. I spent a few more minutes opening the gifts until I got to Severus' lot, it seemed he got me something quite big. So I started with the smaller ones, I loved them all, it's like he knew me all my life. I opened the little blue box to find a locket, I started to tear up again. I opened the locket to find a little doe running around a memory of me and Severus, the night he saved me from the astronomy tower, when he held me so close to him. I saw him crying, which made me tear up more than I needed to. Finally my final gift, a large box. I swear to fuck if this was a box in a box I would drop kick both Maddie and Severus into the next millennium. Luckily it wasn't. As I opened the gift, a load of emotion came over me, it was a guitar. I've been wanting another one for so long and now I had one! I wanted to give Severus the biggest hug ever! I had to go and give Maddie and Severus their gifts right away!

I got myself ready for the day, in a black oversized jumper my black scarf and my thermo leggings as it was well frozen outside. I got the bag of gifts for my bestie and my lovely Severus, the ones picked out for Christmas, the pot and quill. I prayed so hard that they'd like their gifts.

I arrived at the potions classroom with the bag of presents on my back, honestly I thought I'd looked like and emo Santa but eh it's just fashion, you know. I knocked on the door and to my surprise Maddie opened it. "Hi (y/n) MERRY FLIPPING CHRISTMAS, come in!" That's my Maddie alright, she absolutely loves Christmas. I walked into the potions classroom and I was lead into Severus' quarters, he was sitting there in the living room in some silk pjs. They suited him honestly. "Hey Sevy do you mind if (y/n) stays over for a bit?"

"Of course not, merry Christmas (y/n),"

"Thanks Severus and you too," I put the bag down by the side of his fireplace.

"Oooo (y/n) what's in here? Is it presents?" She looked at me with a very excited expression on her face, it was so funny.

"Maybe," I giggled sarcastically. "Um.. some are for s-Severus too," I start stuttering when I mention his name.

"Wait, are you being serious?" Severus asked. He raised his eyebrows and looked at me with a tiny ounce of shock.

"Y- yes I g-got you s-some-something b-because y-you h-he-helped me," I couldn't control my stutters, I've been like this since I started to develop more feelings for Severus. I was absolutely useless.

"Oh (y/n), you really-" he said until I cut him off whilst handing him his present.

"H-he-here," I hand him the carefully wrapped box containing his quill and ink pot. He opened it with wide eyes when he saw what it was that I'd given him.

"I've been wanting a new quill, thank you, I don't know what to say," Maddie looked at the both of us and smiled lightly. It was as if we were like 2 little birds huddled on one another.

"I k-kno-know its n-no-not much bu- but" Severus cut me off by pulling me into a gentle hug. I certainly was not expecting that but I accepted him, his warmth was everything to me at that current moment. Maddie looked at me and wiggled her eyebrows, I just stuck a quick middle finger at her and hugged Severus back before he asked me what I was doing. His warmth was like having a hot water bottle against me except, more comforting. I pulled back and gave him a wide smile, he smiled at me the way he usually does, a bittersweet moment if you ask me.

He's so handsome when he smiles.

"Excuse me,(y/n)?" He asked. My eyes grew wide at what he just said.

Oh shit I forgot he could do that ugh so awkward.

Severus leaned by my ear and whispered something "better watch your language," his voice sent shivers down my spine. His voice is so attractive. He pulled me back from the hug and gave me a soft smile, it was so bittersweet to see the usually known dungeon bat smile. It may have only been soft but it was lovely to see.

I loved this man more than life itself.

And I just wished I could tell him.
