Chapter 15- happiness

Saturday rolled around in a heartbeat. It was morning now, luckily Severus walked me back to my common room and gave me a quick peck before saying goodbye. Honestly I still couldn't believe that Severus was now my boyfriend, I think he'd find that informal to call him my boyfriend but I personally think calling him my partner is a bit old in my opinion, let's see..... Significant other? No I genuinely hate that. Loved one? I don't know. Other half? No that's just mean. Lover? Possibly. Yeah I'll call him my lover.

I skipped down to the great hall with a wide grin on my face, still absolutely thrilled about last night. Looking around the great hall, I noticed Rowan sitting with.... Wait, holy shit she's sitting with Ben Cooper. He's someone in Gryffindor that I think Rowan is crushing so hard on, they are genuinely so adorable together. I went and left them be until I saw Penny at the slytherin table with Barnaby. Another 2 that have become quite an item. So what now? I wish I could sit with Severus but it would draw suspicion from my peers and the teachers, he was over on the table looking bored as Umbridge was chatting, most likely about some bullshit stuff that she did at the ministry. When the fuck will that pink fucking musty dusty crusty little ass toad be fired, no one likes her. I mean there are a few professors I don't like, for example, Trelawney, don't get me wrong she's nice but she really creeps me out and I never pay attention in divination like why the fuck did I even pick that. Idk what my 5th year brain was thinking. Whatever!

I went and sat with Andre and Tulip. I'm friends with them but we don't talk that much. I'd be nice to get closer to them, well I was particularly close to Tulip in 3rd, 4th and 5th year but Umbridge decided to use veritaserum on the poor girl and everyone sorta drifted away from her, but no worries. "Hey guys," I said.

"Oh hello, (y/n) long time no see," Andre replied.

"How are you doing? I heard you suffered a bit with your mental health lately." Tulip asked.

"I'm doing better thank you, I've actually moved on from Jamie now," I said smiling. Fuck I nearly mentioned Sev.

"That's really good, the only thing though him and Lisa keep coming into the Ravenclaw common room and being all lovey dovey, it's really annoying," Tulip replied.

"Oh look there they are, Lisa was nice until she was with him, probably because of his manipulative personality," Andre responded.

"Yeah I noticed that when I was with him, I started to drift away from my friends including you two and I feel really guilty about it,"

"Don't worry about it, at least you're here now, right?" Andre asked.

"Yeah thanks," the 3 of us finished eating, taking no notice of Jamie and Lisa. I then skipped down the hallways just to grab some fresh air in the courtyard, until I noticed Maddie and Severus talking. Probably about last night.

"(Y/n)!" Maddie screamed running and squeezing me into a suffocating hug. "I'm so happy for you,"

"Thanks Mad, I can't breathe," I replied as she pulled away. "I see Severus has already told you the news,"

"Yep, he sure did and I'm so thrilled for the both of you! Also I won't tell a fucking soul," Maddie was so reliable, she was able to keep my darkest secrets to herself and between us.

"I am still very happy about last night, (y/n), truth be told I sort of confessed to Phillip about it, I hope you don't mind," Severus stated.

"Yeah that's fine as long as he doesn't say anything," I reply while going to hold his hand to which he accepted happily.

"Look at you two, so cute," Severus and I looked straight at Maddie with a glare, his more deathly than mine.

"Don't be like that, I swear to Merlin," I responded. Honestly Maddie was so annoying sometimes, she was like this when I was with my past boyfriend but we don't speak of him or the other one.

I just spent the rest of my Saturday chillaxing with friends and spending some time with Severus, in his classroom. We had a few lovely conversations like our favourite parts of literature turns out that he also has an interest in gothic novels like Dracula and Jekyll and Hyde which I just love. Jekyll and Hyde is my fave. I do hope one day he'll read me to sleep with that, or any book at all. "I would gladly do that, love," oh my god we're already doing nicknames. We're so in love I'm gonna cry.
