Chapter 24-study hall

I honestly didn't expect Severus to react the way he did, but he was honest that he just as scared as I was. The greenhouses in herbology were a nice place to be, I needed to talk to professor sprout anyway. "What's your need miss (l/n)?" She asked politely.

"I'm thinking of resigning from quidditch," she immediately stopped scooping up nettles and looked at me with wide eyes.

"Why?! You're one of the best seekers I've ever seen! What's made you want to resign?"

"I'm just not doing good mentally and it's pushing my physical health to the line I'm constantly feeling sick and that's why I haven't been in classes much,"

"Oh right okay, who would you like to make captain? Or do you want me to decide?"

"I think Kyle would be a great captain,"

"Okay I'll let him know, I hope you're alright though. Have you spoken to Madam Pomfrey about this?"

"Yeah she just told me to take it easy,"

"As you've requested I'll send a note to Kyle and he'll be new quidditch captain, you take care of yourself, you'll need it,"

"Thanks Professor," and with that I left the greenhouse to go to the great hall as there was a study session, so I met Rowan, Penny and Maddie to study together. Not all of us did the same subjects so we focused on the one we all had together which was potions. I didn't need to revise it but I already knew so much so we just opened our books and chatted to make it look like we were revising. "Are you feeling better, (y/n)?" Asked Rowan.

"Yeah thanks,"

"So what's wrong with you? Did madam Pomfrey say anything?"

"Oh I wasn't with Madam Pomfrey just, I was with Sprout,"

"Why?" Asked Maddie and Rowan at the same time.

"Okay promise you both won't get mad at me when I tell you why I went?" Maddie and Rowan looked at each other with doubt.

"Okay,"

"Go ahead,"

"I'm resigning from the quidditch team-"

"WHAT?!" Rowan screamed.

"YOURE KIDDING?!" Maddie cried. Everyone in the hall was staring at us.

"Guys shush, look now Snape is coming," he was strutting over to us with eyebrows furrowed.

"Girls this is your first warning, make any more outbursts like that, all 3 of you will be kicked out," he boomed. It made me sad a little cuz I hated it when Severus yelled. His eyes told me that he would apologise to me later.

"Okay sir," replied Rowan. "In all seriousness, though, why are you resigning? You were the best seeker ever!"

"Maddie I can't lie to her can I?" She shook her head.

"Yeah you should tell her the truth,"

"What truth?"

"Look, please don't go ballistic but- shit Umbridge is coming," we put our heads down reading over different books until she passed us by. "Like I said don't make an outburst but. Rowan I'm...... I'm..... I'm pregnant," this took a lot of courage for me to say as I really didn't know how she'd react, she nearly yelled but kept it in.

"Oh my gosh, who did it?"

"I..... can't remember I got really drunk in Slughorn's party and forgot everything that happened,"

"It was Charlie wasn't it?"

"No it wasn't from what I think?"

"It fucking was,"

"Rowan!" Maddie shouted.

"That's it we're getting kicked out let's just go," I replied. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom i feel sick again," so I went to the bathroom and just sat in my usual cubicle. A wave of emotion just came over me and I started to cry, why does Rowan want me with Charlie so badly? He's a fucking brother to me I just wish she'd understand. Hopefully Maddie hasn't told her about Severus and I but surely she wouldn't do that, I trust her. Speaking of Severus I might go and see him but he's probably still in the great hall. I'll go to the dungeon anyway though, I just wanna be in his arms. I love Severus so much. I ran out of the bathroom to find out that Severus was there walking around.

"Love? Is everything alright? You look upset,"

"I was about to come and look for you, I...... I just wanna be in your arms right now," I said tearing up.

"Love come on let's go to my classroom and you can talk to me okay?" I nodded because I was simply too sad to talk.

We got to his classroom around 5 minutes later to which he immediately pulled me into his arms. I cried onto his shoulder as he hugged me. "Tell me, what's wrong?"

"I told Rowan I'm pregnant and she just can't get the idea that it wasn't fucking Charlie, it's getting on my nerves, she didn't even ask me if I was okay and what I was going to do, she also went ballistic on me when I told her I resigned from quidditch," to this he hugged me tighter.

"I'm sorry you had to deal with that,"

"It's not your fault, Severus I'm so scared,"

"I know I am too, but like I said when you first told me we'll get through this together, look at me (y/n)," I did as followed and looked into the black orbs. "I love you and I will always support you no matter the circumstances and if your friend cannot do that, then she isn't worth it,"

"I love you too,"

"I think you should talk to her about what's going on,"

"I guess you're right, I just want her to support me through this because I just know I can't do this on my own, even with your support,"

"I know the best I can do is be here for you," he said whilst cupping my face to wipe away my tears. "When you next see her, talk to her, I would say talk to Maddie as well because she's been avoiding me ever since she found out you were pregnant,"

"Yeah I will do thank you Severus,"

"It's no problem at all, I love you and don't you ever forget that,"

"I love you too,"
