Chloe's POV
I sat on the dock with my feet dangling below me, applying sunscreen to my neck. Being sunburnt was the last thing I needed on this trip. Dad was talking with a guy in a black and white checkered shirt about bringing the boat out to sea. Somehow, I was convinced to go tubing. The last time I was involved in this was six years ago, and I didn't participate because I was too scared. But this time, I had agreed to actually sit on the tube, and I wasn't sure how it would go.
The creaking of the wood behind me caused me to look over my shoulder. Chase and Christian were walking towards the end of the dock, where I was sitting, and they were mid-conversation.
The fuzzy feeling that spewed through me at the sight of him had intensified, it was much more prominent than it had ever been. The memory of his body being pressed up against mine and the sound of his moans against my neck reappeared in my mind for what seemed to be the hundredth time that morning.
I turned my attention back to the gentle waves that crashed onto the pillars holding the dock. We hadn't spoken much yet, I ended up sleeping in and by the time I had woken up, I had to rush in order to get to the beach with everyone. Mom decided that going tubing wasn't on her list of things that she wanted to do, so she stayed home. I didn't blame her, the idea of being dragged around the ocean on top of a rubber inflatable did not sound very appealing to me either.
I squeezed more of the warm, white liquid into my palm and rubbed my hands together. Reaching my hands behind me, I attempted to apply the sunscreen to my back. I hated applying sunscreen to my back, which was why I usually used the spray-on type but I was using Chase's, which meant that I had no right to complain.
"I know you'll end up backing out again," Christian taunted as he appeared behind me.
"I have gotten this far, don't push me."
"We will see," he laughed and shook his head when I showed him my middle finger.
Chase noticed me struggling so he stooped down behind me. "Need a hand?" He asked as he picked the bottle up from off the wood. He shook it once before squirting some into his hands and rubbing his palms together just like I did.
"Yes, if you don't mind," I told him before I felt his large hands on my skin. He gently rubbed the cream on, moving from my right shoulder to my left, carefully skipping over the straps of my bikini top. I shivered as his hands moved down further to apply some to my lower back. His touch was so delicate, I couldn't control my thoughts as his hands slowly caressed me. When he stood, I mentally groaned from the loss of contact.
I pulled myself up to my feet and reached around to brush off any dirt that might have gotten on my shorts. I glanced up at him and saw that he was looking at me while applying sunscreen to his face. My heart did a back flip and I tried to hide it by smiling at him.
"Thank you," I offered my appreciation as I took notice of my reflection in the dark lens of his sunglasses.
"Anytime," his lips curved into a half smile before he began rubbing his palms against his upper arms.
I knew he had no idea how erotic he made me feel. Or maybe he did, I literally asked him to have sex with me last night for God's sake.
"Are you ready?" he asked and I nodded, blushing at the familiarity of the question.
The three of us met Dad at the other side of the dock where he was preparing to embark on the boat.
"It's been a while, Sunshine," he spoke to the boat as he patted the area where 'Sunshine' was painted in bold, black paint.
