A/N: Picture of Alex (played by Dylan Sprouse)
Chloe's POV
I needed a faster way to leave here. I pulled my bra on and grabbed the hem of the soaked T-shirt, pulled it over my head and dropped it in the grass.
"Chloe, wait," he jumped to his feet and began striding in my direction.
"Are you seriously with her right now?" Yanique spoke through his speaker, and he sighed before hanging up the call.
"I can explain," he began but I stopped with one arm through my cardigan sleeve to glare at him.
"Explain what?" I seethed and he bent down to grab his T-shirt that I tossed to the ground.
"Look, I was going to tell you but I-"
"It's been a week Chase, a week. When were you planning on telling me?" I fumbled around as I tried to pull my pants onto my wet legs.
"I don't know, but it would have been soon."
"Sure," I rolled my eyes.
"Why are you so upset over this?" His jaw clenched when I shot him another sharp look.
"Are you serious?" When he didn't answer, I shook my head and ran my hand over my hair in an attempt to smooth the frizziness.
How could he not understand why I was upset? He was the one who told me that he wouldn't be comfortable with the idea of me being intimate with other guys, yet still, he went behind my back and had sex with her. I understood that she was his girlfriend, but that did not take away the fact that he hid that he slept with her again after he slept with me. Not to mention that he admitted to me that he was losing feelings for her, I never expected him to be with her in that way after that.
"Yes, I am serious. Can you just explain what you're feeling right now?"
"Oh, trust me, you don't want to know what I'm feeling."
He exhaled dramatically and grabbed his sweatshirt to pull it over his head before pulling his jeans on too. He shoved his hand into his sweatshirt's pocket and pulled out the lanyard with his car key.
"If I didn't want to know how you were feeling, I wouldn't have asked, Chloe."
I faced away from him and crossed my arms tightly across my chest. I felt disgusted; I just gave myself to him again, for the third time, only for such betraying information to be revealed to me. I didn't even know how to begin processing this information.
"Let me get something straight. You're upset with me because I slept with my girlfriend at the time?"
Without facing him, I said, "it's not only about the fact that you slept with her, but also the fact that you didn't even tell me that you did."
"Okay, go on," he urged.
Ignoring his demanding tone, I continued. "You even mentioned that you wouldn't be comfortable with me being intimate with another guy after what we established between us, but then you went ahead and did just that."
With his hand on his side, he glanced up at the sky before scratching the back of his neck. "Okay yeah, I get that part."
I turned my neck slightly so that he could see that I was listening to him.
"And I understand that it's unfair to you that I said that but then contradicted my words."
"You think?" I challenged.
"But she was my girlfriend Chloe, I technically didn't do anything wrong. I mean, not telling you wasn't exactly right either, but I promise I was going to tell you."
