"Holding hands for sure."

"Late night walks too."

"What about dinner dates?" Sunwoo asks.

"Overrated." I answer

"I agree." he feeds his money into the vending machine.

"I'd rather go on a picnic." I lean against the glass door.

"Or go the pc cafe."

"God why does everything you say lead to going to the pc cafe??" I groan.

"Because video games are life." He asks. "You want something?"

"Hmm," I think for a bit with a grin.

"Who am I kidding, of course you do." Sunwoo punches in a number and two items fall to the open compartment.

He hands me the usual strawberry Calpico and opens his bag of chips. I say 'usual' because I live on sugar. You might not believe me, but I run on sugar. Some people are addicted to caffeine, but for me it's sugar because it solves all my problems. When I'm tired I eat sugar and I'm better. If I'm sad, I have sugar, if I have a headache, sugar makes it go away.

Scientists can't explain it, but it's true.

"I just think that eating dinner is so boring. What are you supposed to do the whole time?" I ask as we walk past the vending machine line and towards our classroom.

"Talk, I guess." Sunwoo answers.

"Boring."

"I know, I agree with you dumbass." he grabs my drink and takes a long sip out of it. It's nearly half gone.

"Really, I think that the better way to get to know someone is to see how they deal with real life situations you know? Like escape rooms, or arcades. I think an escape room is a perfect first date idea, you really will know their true personality." I explain.

"Mhm."

If you think that Sunwoo and I are planning our own first date, you're horribly mistaken. The both of us are hopeless romantics, though Sunwoo would rather die than admit it out loud to someone. We discuss these kinds of things because, well, both of us are truly hopeless when it comes to dating. That's what happens when you fill your life with romance novels and films--your expectations are too high for regular humans.

"For example, if I brought someone to an escape room and he totally panicked and I had to do everything... immediate red flag. You feel me?" I ask.

"Agreed," He taps on his phone, playing a game.

It's not that he's not listening because he doesn't care what I'm saying, this is just how we work. I talk and he listens, because I have a problem with rambling and he apparently likes to hear me talk.

Sunwoo is like an older brother to me. He's more caring towards me than he is to himself, which worries me sometimes. But it wasn't always like this, actually. When we were younger, I used to take care of him because when his dad split, he started icing everyone out. But I refused to be ignored by him so I followed him everyday and made sure he was eating. But then, he started getting taller than me and felt some sort of responsibility since my parents are rarely home.

And especially in the past few years he started to get more protective, I guess that's fair though, considering what happened.

"Speaking of, you wanna go to an escape room? It sounds fun now that I'm talking about it." I grab one of his chips.
