"I'm kind of excited!" I say to Sunwoo over facetime. "Are you excited??"

"Meh," Sunwoo answers. I can hear him zipping his suitcase up from the other side of the screen. "I'm excited to sleep on the bus."

"The car ride is like 3 hours so I can only get through a little bit of our 12 hour playlist." I continue throwing things in my suitcase.

You'd think that one of us would be responsible in this friendship, but not really. As seen when we pack for trips both of us just throw half our closet in and hope for the best.

"Are you done yet?" Sunwoo asks with a dramatic sigh. "We're literally going to be late."

"Okay okay, I'm leaving now." I grab the suitcase and drag it down the stairs.

I meet Sunwoo on a street in between our neighborhoods and we begin walking to school. Now that it's winter time it's getting really cold, even without snow.

"How many days is it again?" Sunwoo asks. He pushes me to his other side so that he's walking closest to the road.

"Friday night, as in today, saturday, sunday, drive back monday." I answer, opening a bag of sour candy and handing one to him.

"I don't think I'd last a whole week in the cold," He says.

"I wouldn't either," I agree. "You downloaded all our shows right?"

"Yep. And you got the movies?"

I nod and as we wait for the light to turn so we can cross the street, I notice Hyunjae and a few of his friends walking onto campus. He's wearing grey sweatpants, and somehow, he makes them look attractive.

Good lord what's happening to me.

"How do they all have so much energy in the morning?" Sunwoo says, staring at the same people. They're jumping around and kicking each others' suitcases.

I remember Hyunjae telling me he doesn't feel close to his friends at all. Yet from far away he looks like he fits right in.

"I guess you really never know much about a person from the outside," I murmur.

"What?" Sunwoo gives me a look.

"Nothing," I correct myself. As much as he is my best friend, I don't think I could ever convince him that there's another side to Hyunjae.

"Come on," he links our arms and we walk down the street and into the school gates.

It's so early the sun is still rising so none of the other students are here except for the ones in our grade. There are four buses parked by the entrance and a few chaperones are loading bags into the compartments.

"We're on the same bus?" I ask.

"I think so," Sunwoo says. We get in line in bus 3 and wait to be checked in.

A few minutes later I sense someone get in line behind me. I turn around and have to look up to meet Hyunjae's eyes.

I give him a small smile, knowing Sunwoo is on his phone. He returns with a nod and then he looks left and right, almost like he's checking to see if anyone's watching.

Then he leans forward and says "Can I tell you a secret?"

I nod, glancing at his friends who are fighting each other behind him.

"I'm kind of nervous." He says.

I don't know what I was expecting him to say, but it definitely wasn't that. Somehow that makes me feel.... I don't know. It just makes me feel more for him. No guy has ever admitted that to me, ever. Not even Sunwoo.
