"You wanna get out of bed?" Sid asks sitting on the bed of his granddaughter.

"No," she says with her eyes closed.

Eli looks at Sid from the doorway. "She been like this the entire month?" He asks.

"Yes," Sid sighs getting up.

"Let me," Miguel says next Eli.

Sid and Eli leave and Miguel gets next her in bed. "You wanna sit out the tournament?" He asks grabbing her hand.

"Leave me alone," she says softly.

He shakes his head sighing as he gets up. "Get the fuck up. Stop having self pity. We have a fucking tournament to win," he says loudly before getting out of the room.

"He's not coming," Resa sighs.

Eli has his arm around her shoulder with his chin resting on her head. Her hair is messily braided while she has dark bags under her eyes. Her skin is paler than it's normal sun-kissed shade and he's sure she lost two or three pounds.

Johnny arrives and looks at her before he goes inside with his students and gives them a speech. During the speech her eyes are on him but she doesn't look at him.

In the lockerroom she's getting dressed in silence until Eli walks in. "You good enough to fight?" He asks.

She hums a response and he walks over to her grabbing her face. "I'll be right there if you need me," he says softly as she looks at him.

She nods, "I'll be there too for you." She says in the same tone putting her hands on his waist.

"Hey," he smiles making her look up from their feet, "I love you." He whispers.

Tears form in her eyes. "I love you too," she whispers.

"All right! Lets go, Cobras!" Johnny yells clapping his hands.

Resa and Eli walk with the group and jog in with the other. Miguel and Resa in the front as the group chants their name. They stand in formation and Eli looks at her with a smile.

She smiles back before looking up hearing the one name she hasn't heard in years. "Mr. Robby Keene," Daryl says over the mic.

She looks at her brother who looks at her in shock before she looks at her dad who is also shocked. "All right, folks. Get ready. It's karate time," Daryl continues.

Resa is first on the mat after Miguel. She gets hit on the nose and Johnny stops the next round. He cleans her bleeding nose while Eli fixes her hair.

"You gotta forget about our fight, Princess. If you want to think about, use the anger you get from it. But don't lose your focus," Johnny says.

She nods getting back up and going back to the mat. "You okay, Lawrence?" The referee.

She nods again and wins the fight with ease this time. Eli is next and wins the fight in one go before jumping off and grabbing her waist pulling her into a kiss.

The next fight is Resa against Xander stone. She wins with ease again letting her go to the semi finals with Eli, Miguel and her brother.

She stands next Eli. "There can be only one true winner, and he..." Daryl looks at Resa," or she, is standing on this stage right now. Will it be Miguel Diaz from Cobra Kai Karate? Will it be hawk...Well, I guess it's just 'Hawk' from Cobra Kai Karate? Will it be Theresa Lawrence from Cobra Kai Karate? Or will it be Robby Keene, unaffiliated?" He asks.

They get off the mat and the matches get announced. "First up, Keene vs. Lawrence," Daryl yells.

Resa looks at her dad with shock and he nods. "You can do it," he says.

Eli nods as she tightens her ponytail. "Good luck, babe," he says before she gets on the mat.

Robby looks at his sister with a pained frown. "We're not gonna hold back," she says standing across from him.

"Haven't seen each other in 7 years, why should we?" He says through his teeth.

"All right, bow to me," the referee says.

They bow to him. "Bow to each other," he says.

They keep eye contact as they bow and then get ready to fight. "Fight," he says.

Resa is first to launch forward landing a kick on his upper arm. He is next to hit but she sweeps his legs and he falls on his back hard.

She smiles getting up and tightening her ponytail again. "Sorry," she looks at him, "brother." She says before getting back on the place.

The next round begins and the fight between the two is intense. Neither lands on the floor until she goes to kick him. Robby grabs her ankle and raises it above his head.

A tear is heard and Resa lets out a high pitched scream. He lets go as she falls on her side holding the back of her leg.

Robby's face goes pale as Johnny, Miguel, Eli and Aisha run up to her while he gets held back. "What's wrong?" Eli asks grabbing her face while she has tears falling.

"He tore a muscle," she cries as medics rush over to her.

"Can you stand?" The medic asks.

Resa tries but lets out another scream. They take her away as she gets taken to a back room. "You have to step back," Johnny says.

"Sure, let my brother win," she says with tears in her eyes.

He nods and leaves her alone. Miguel wins from Eli and he leaves with Resa to the hospital. "So, Robby is your brother?" He asks.

"Older twin, by five minutes. But hell I Ont even know if that shit counts. He won by tearing my muscle," she scoffs wiping away her tears.

He nods as Robby walks into the hospital. They both get up and she looks at him with angry eyes. "I hope you won," she scoffs sarcastically.

"Yeah, well, your Hispanic bestie won," Robby sighs.

"Good," she smiles looking at him.
