Resa sits on her bed in the mansion of Sid. "And then he made Aisha hit everybody," Eli says with ice on his jaw as he sits on the end of the bed.
"Let me look," she smiles getting up and walking over to him.
She stands in front of him looking at the bruise. "Still beautiful?" He asks.
She smiles looking into his eyes. "Always beautiful," she says softly.
They haven't kissed since that first kiss. She doesn't even know if they were in a relationship at all. "Are we in a relationship?" She asks with a frown.
He raises his eyebrows and puts his hands on her waist. "Do you want to be in a relationship?" He asks pulling her between his legs.
"I don't know," she sighs playing with the strings of his hoodie.
"But..." he says in a singing voice.
"But I like you," she says softly not looking up.
He smiles putting his finger and thumb on her chin lifting it. "Then I'll wait," he says softly.
"Wha..." she starts but gets interrupted.
"Theresa! Get your damn shit! I'm taking you home!" Her dad yells running up the stairs.
Her door opens and Johnny looks at the two for a few seconds. "Grab your stuff," he says to his daughter.
"Why?" She asks stepping back and blocking his way further into her room.
"Because you can't live here. I know how this man is," he says.
"This man is a better guardian than you have ever been," she says with an angry expression as Eli stands behind her.
"You don't know what he is like. He used to hit me," Johnny says grabbing her wrist.
She hits his hand away making him angry and stepping closer. "You're coming with me," he says.
"Why? So you can ignore me? Again? So you can put all the bills on me? Again? So you can hit me when you're drunk of your ass? Again? I'm not going with you. You're my sensei, that's it. Get the fuck out of here," she cries hitting his chest.
He nods, "it was an accident." He says softly before walking away.
"Accident or not! You broke my nose!" She yells before slamming her door hard.
Eli looks at her waiting for her to turn around but she doesn't. She lets her head fall on the door letting out sobs until he wraps his arms around her waist.
"Just go," she cries pushing him out the door.
"What? Rees," he starts but she pushes the door shut and holds it while he tries to open it again.
"I'm never gonna let you down, Rees. I'll be here for you when you need me," he says eventually before he walks off.
