Resa trains with Miyagi-do every day. She goes to school and works in the weekends. She stands with Demetri when her phone rings.

She takes it out and her face falls. "What the actual fuck!" She yells reading the cancellation of the All Valley.

A few days later she sits next her father in the court hall of the valley. She sits next Sam watching the fight between the three Sensei's. She smiles as Miguel enters the court hall.

He walks down the steps with some trouble making her rush over to him and grab his arm. "I'm here," she says holding him up.

"Thanks," he nods leaning on her as they walk down.

She stands next him to make sure he doesn't fall over and get hurt. "My name is Miguel Diaz. I was in the school fight, with my best friend, Theresa Lawrence. I was the one that got kicked off the second floor. You know, uh...I thought I was gonna be paralyzed. I relearned how to stand. I relearned how to walk. And I want the tournament to continue," Miguel says looking at Resa.

"We are very happy for your recovery, young man. But I'm afraid you don't understand..." councilor Roberts gets interrupted by Sam.

"Yes, he does," she walks over to the duo, "we are the ones getting hurt. We're the ones fighting. Our voices should matter the most. And we want a place where we can compete, fairly and safely," Sam says making Resa and Miguel smile at her.

"When I first moved here, I was bullied. And I realized that there was no escaping it. There'll always be a kid who wants to steal your lunch money, or give you a wedgie, or give you a swirlie," Miguel says.

"A swirlie?" The councilor asks.

"It's when you dump someone's head in the toilet, and flush it. Pretty funny actually," Johnny smiles as he gets up.

Resa looks at him angry, "dad!" She says loudly.

He shrugs as he sits down again. Miguel continues his speech and ends up convincing the councilors approval to have the tournament.

She goes home with her dad and sits on her bed. "You okay?" Johnny asks in her doorway.

"I've lost everyone I used to love," she sighs looking up at him.

He sighs as he sits down next her. "You still have me and Miguel," he says putting his arm around her.

She stays quiet for a while before slowly pulling the sleeves of her shirt up. "I need help, dad," she says with a breaking voice.

He looks at the marks on her wrists. They lap over each other and there could easily be a hundred. He puts his thumb over her right wrists with tears in his eyes as he feels the wounds and scars under his thumb.

She looks up at him crying. "Please, don't be mad," she begs him.

He looks down at her. He wants to yell at her for not coming to him sooner, but he remembers that he was not here earlier.

"We'll get you help," he whispers kissing the side of her head as he starts comforting her.
