Resa sits in her hoodie and shorts on the beach. Eli and Demetri are playing volleyball as he looks at her. "I've tried everything, she won't eat, she only sleeps. And when I try to get her to do something else then stare and sleep, she fights me," Eli sighs.
"She just lost one of the most important people in her life. Give her a few days," Demetri says.
"What's up with Resa?" Moon asks walking over to the two.
"Her grandfather died," Eli sighs before walking over to her.
Resa looks up at him as he sits down next her. "Hey, have you eaten that sandwich?" He asks looking in his bag but sighing softly when it's still there.
"How about we go swimming? You've always liked that," he smiles nudging her shoulder.
Tears form in her eyes as she gets up. "I'm going home," she says grabbing her bag and bike keys.
"Reese! You're not allowed to ride on your own," he shouts packing his stuff.
"I don't wanna pretend like I'm fine! Because I'm not! My father never gave a crap about me! The only person that gave a shit about me died a month ago!" She yells hitting his chest with tears falling.
"You're in pain, I understand. Don't let it out like this, please," he says but she pushes him away and walks away.
That night she stands next Miguel as they march into the all Valley fest. She walks onto the stage and stands across Miguel.
"Cobras! Show them what real karate looks like!" Johnny yells to them.
Her and Miguel bow to each other before they start fighting. Resa wins and Miguel smiles at her. After the performance she stands next Eli. "I'm figuring myself out," she says softly.
He looks at her and grabs her hand intertwining their fingers. "I'll be here for you to help you figure everything out," he smiles kissing her cheek softly.
