I walked down the road sighing. I had just exited a party with my bandmates. Everyone was drunk, besides me, so something was bound to happen. I didn't expect to get into it with the most reasonable one of all of us, Ricky. He was obviously drunk, and normally he doesn't get angry when he's drunk. But Ricky started to go on about the Trinity of Terror tour we just came back from. He started saying things like I was controlling everyone and I didn't let them put anything into it.

I tried to walk away, but he punched me. After that, I just walked out. I left my car. I wasn't dealing with that shit today. What made it worse was that the sun was setting and the sky was turning sad, grey. It was about to rain, and I honestly couldn't care less. When it started drizzling, I just put my hood up and shoved my hands in my pockets, continuing to walk.

Though, it began to pour, and I was getting soaked. I ducked into an alleyway of apartment buildings and stood under a platform where the stairs were. It didn't save me much, but at least I wasn't in the downpour anymore.

I could only hear the rain until my ears caught a whimpering sound. I looked around and noticed someone sitting under the lowest possible platform, shivering. I walked closer and ducked down to see them. "Hello?-" My eyes widened when I saw the furry ears that sat atop their head.

"Hey, hey Spencer.." Joe poked at me from above. I groaned and looked up at Joe leaning over his bunk. I opened my eyes but soon blocked them from his flashlight.

"You're supposed to be sleeping, Joe. We have a big concert tomorrow," I told him, flipping on my side away from him.

"Did you know werewolves used to exist? Apparently the humans overtook them and now there are barely any left."

"Joe go to fucking sleep." Dan's husky voice said as he slowly woke up. I couldn't hold back a laugh as everything went quiet again. Joe whispered something and turned his phone off. I could finally hear my music through my headphones again. Of course it had to play one of our songs which made me happy but also angry at the same time. I've heard my voice enough already.

I gulped and just stared. I noticed it was a woman. She held her knees close to her chest and was shivering furiously. I held my hand out to her but she turned away and whimpered. "I won't hurt you.." I looked at her (f/c), matted tail that was wrapped around her body, trying to keep her warm. "I can help.."

She peeked an eye open and looked back towards me. "Are you thirsty?" I asked the stray. I pulled the water bottle I was drinking from out of my pocket and slowly pushed it towards her. She hesitantly took the bottle and opened the cap, sniffing it. I smiled. Once she saw me smile, she chugged down the rest of the drink before coughing. I reach out and touched her back. She jumped and almost scooted away, but once I gently rubbed it, she relaxed.

"Come with me, I can take you to my house. I'll get you all cleaned up." I felt sorry for the stray girl. What Joe told me that night was true. There aren't many. I slipped my hoodie off and handed it to her after ringing it out. "It's not dry but it'll help warm you up."

She put it to her nose and sniffed it, slowly putting it on. I backed away and gave her my hand again. She slowly crawled out from under the stairwell and tried to stand. Her legs seemed to be weak so I took ahold of her and gently picked her up. She was weightless — like a feather. Her instincts must've kicked in as her arms wrapped around my neck. I began walking out of the alleyway, the steady pour of rain coming down on us. I pulled the hood over her head and picked up my pace.
