"Spencer!" I screamed as I was thrown into the air from the wolfs back. I felt like I was going to die. My life was flashing before my eyes. But luckily, I didn't, as I felt two strong arms wrap around me and catch me. I opened my eyes once I could finally breathe and saw him smirking at me. "You could have killed me!"

"Do you really think I would have killed you?" he whispered and gently kiss my neck. I groaned and turned away from him, crossing my arms. "Oh don't be like that, come on, I'm taking you to meet my family."

"You. Almost. Killed. Me." I stated again playfully. I heard a small growl come from him. I couldn't hold back a laugh as I jumped from his arms and looked at him. "Don't growl at me. Bad puppy."

"I'm gonna knock that word out of your mouth one day," he said while grabbing my hand. We continued walking through the woods. I knew the path we were taking — it was to the cabin. But when we arrived, I didn't expect it to look rebuilt. It was a beautiful cabin now — two stories, fresh wood, no more cracks. There was even a roof!

"Wow.." I said, breathless. Spencer chuckled and then I saw a wolf run up to us. Before it could hit us, it turned into a beautiful human woman. She had beautiful brown hair and a wide smile.

"Spence! I've been trying to save your rations!" she exclaimed.

"Mine can go to Y/n," Spencer said. The woman turned back into a wolf and ran back inside. I was speechless as Spencer pulled me to the cabin. I walked behind him, slightly hiding. I heard commotion coming from the kitchen, where we were walking, and once we got to the doorway, everyone went silent. They were all staring at me.

"Spencer!" an older, maybe 40s, woman spoke. She smiled and motioned him over. Spencer slowly tugged me along with him, the eyes never leaving us for a second. "Guys, stop staring. I invited Y/n. Now be nice."

"She's a human." A male spoke up with his mouth full. Spencer turned and snarled at him. The male backed down and Spencer looked at me with a smile.

"Eat, kids." the woman said. The wolves, mixed with boys and girls, started to eat in silence. I just hid behind my boyfriend, not wanting to be the elephant in the room. "Y/n, it's so nice to meet you! I'm Angela, Spencer's mom!" Angela swooped me into a hug and I slightly hugged back. She pulled away and smiled, "You aren't the only human here, don't worry."

I slowly nodded and glances at the others before her. That's when I noticed that her eyes didn't have that "wolf" look. I exhaled slowly and took my spot back next to Spencer. I drowned out any noise and waited until Spencer pulled me along again. We walked outside.

"Sorry about that.."

"Are they all your siblings?" I questioned.

"For a wolf, yes. For a human, no. I mean yes, some of us are blood related, but it's not like we date our cousins," Spencer explained. I smiled and looked down at my feet as we were walking through a small patch of flowering-grass.

"Wow, nice move bringing her here, Spence," I heard a voice. We both turned to look and it was Chris.

"What do you want?" Spencer asked.

"I'm just saying it's rare to bring a human who you haven't mated with yet." Chris smirked and slowly walked towards us. Spencer held his ground.

"My mother invited her, Chris. So back off." Spencer spat the last part as Chris finally stopped, a few feet in front of us. I was scared, but I tried not to be.
