LXXVIII. Werewolf (Supernatural!AU)

"Bye mom!" I shouted to my mom while walking out the back door. I was going on my normal nightly stroll. The woods were always so peaceful and quiet behind my house. There was a lake about a mile off and I like to go sit at the water. I shoved my phone in my back pocket and put one earbud in, making sure to keep the other out just incase I heard something I shouldn't have. There was a cabin about half a mile past the lake that I've been to a couple times. Of course it was abandoned but it was always so cool to just look around.

I got about a half-mile through the woods before my stomach started hurting. Something was telling me I shouldn't be out here. I took my earbud out and paused my music. "Hello?" I called quietly. I didn't get a vocal response, only a noise. The bushed moving and leaves being crunched on. It didn't sound like human feet crunching leaves. My breathing picked up slightly as I stood frozen for a few seconds before turning and slowly walking back towards my house.

I suddenly heard a howl. A wolf howl. It sounded nothing like a dog, it was more aggressive and wasn't followed by any barking. I've never heard wolves before. My pace started to pick up as I tried to be as quiet as possible.

I stepped on something that made a large snapping noise. I stopped in my tracks and looked around. Something caught my eyes — a set of eyes staring back at me. They weren't human, they weren't at my eye level. I started running, but apparently that wasn't going to get me out of this situation.

I barely saw the wolf for a split second before I was on the ground. I squeezed my eyes shut and whimpered as I felt twi large paws on my arms. The claws were digging into my skin. I let out a small cry and turned my head away. I only opened my eyes when I heard quiet growling. My eyes met the wolf's.

Something was different. They weren't normal. The wolf showed me its teeth while snarling. It leaned down and I squeezed my eyes shut again, ready to be their next meal. But the only thing the wolf did was put its snout at my neck. I heard it sniffing for a while before it slowly pulled away. It stepped off of my arms and I finally looked again. This wolf wasn't normal. It's fur was silky smooth, but much fluffier than I've ever seen. It wasn't as small as a wolf normally was, it was bigger and had a different shape to it.

I could only stare, until the wolf took a step forward and nudged my arm with its snout. I scampered away from it and watched it look back before turning to me again. I stood up and was almost waiting for it to attack me again. I watched it take a few steps back and then it turned around and ran. And I did the same. I ran all the way back to my house, walking in like normal and heading to my room.

I slipped my hoodie and shirt off, seeing puncture marks in my skin. I was bleeding. I quickly went to the bathroom and started to wash my wounds. They weren't big, but they were sure as hell visible. I grabbed bandaids and put them over the wounds, slipping my bra off and quickly putting my hoodie back on. I walked over to my bed and laid down. What the hell just happened?

The next morning I woke up and took the bandaids off. They had stopped bleeding, but small bruises were forming around them. I just sighed and decided I'd wear a long sleeve band shirt today. I tucked it into a skirt and put on some thigh-high fishnets. Followed by my normal converse, I walked downstairs. My mom had already left for work, so I grabbed my keys and walked to my car. I made my way to school.

As soon as I got in the building, all I heard was everyone talking about two new students. I walked over to my best friends locker and leaned against the one beside it, "What the fuck is everyone going on about, Keya?" She turned to me and gave me a look like I was crazy.

"There are two new boys, and apparently they're super fucking hot!" she exclaimed, shutting her locker. "I mean, I know I have a boyfriend, but damn."

"Hotter than Andy?" I questioned. Andy was her boyfriend.
