Damn, she is so sexy.

Those ocean-blue eyes and the way she laughs and tosses her caramel hair back.

Misty Gates.

Pretty girl.

I saw her laughing and talking with her friends at lunch.

"Stop staring bro," said Zach. "That's so horny."

I whacked the side of his head.

"Ow!"

"You're just salty, a girl like that won't end up with you."

"Like she'll end up with you."

"I'm charming, man. Don't diss my looks."

"That's funny coming from you. That girl literally hates you."

It was true, she did hate me. But that was hardly my fault. My girlfriend Rand hates her, so I'm forced to hate her as well. Every time Rand sees her, she asks me to bully her. Poor girl.

As we walked across the cafeteria, people backed out of the way like they were scared of us. Which they were.

"I'm starving, can we grab lunch from Subway?" asked Zach.

"Nah, my girlfriend already ordered it to get doordashed to the school. Not that I need much energy anyway now that I'm out for the season."

We made our way to our table only to see a bunch of dorks and losers already sitting there.

"Who the fuck are they?" said Zach.

"I'll deal with it," I said. I walked over to them and put my hands on the table. My right hand only, actually, because of my injury. (I was currently living life with one working arm, which you can imagine how bad it was. I was basically a one-arm freak.) Then I cleared my throat and tried to look threatening, which wasn't too hard, considering I looked threatening no matter what. "Scram, losers. This is our table."

They looked scared. They grabbed their trays and left quickly without needing to be asked twice, emptying the table for us.

"That was a sick move, dude," Zach said as he sat down. "Those dweebs looked priceless."

"And easy," I smirked. "Can't blame the best man."

Rand and Phoebe came by with four subway sandwiches. My favorite kind, with pickles and beef. I devoured it when I noticed one of Misty's friends was glaring at me. It was Kendall Vidovic. That little pussy always glared at me. Her glare was annoying. Not that it was creepy or scary, but it was just annoying. And Misty there was trying to act like I did not exist, which was kind of a bummer.

"Can you do me a favor babe?" Rand asked me, wrapping her arm around my waist.

"Anything for you," I said.

"Go dump this on Misty." She slid her pickles over to me. "Misty hates pickles."

There she was, making me the bad guy again. Her motive to me was clear. She was jealous of Misty. At least she used to be. Now she just hates her.

In middle school, Rand was the prettiest and she was popular. Then Misty showed up, and everyone paid attention to Misty instead. Misty was smart, pretty, nice, and everyone loved her, except for Rand, who was automatically enraged by Misty's presence. She just couldn't get over the fact that a new girl was bussin'. Misty even beat her in the annual school art contest.

At first Rand had decided to play it cool. She even pretended to be Misty's friend. She did this so that she could get closer to her, know all her secrets, and find dirt on her. She wanted to know where to hit Misty. A week later she told Misty that she was just pretending to be Misty's friend. I remember Misty being really upset at that, and then finding two new friends to hang out with.

It wasn't over yet for Rand. Rand spread all these rumors about Misty to defame her. People fell for it, and then Rand became popular once again.

But even though I knew how Rand can be sometimes, she still had a sweet soft side, which I like about her. Like the time she fixed my bike for me. She was rich and hot too, and had the coolest locker in the whole school. Plus, she wasn't a teacher's pet or a nerd. She was just really sassy. And those brows of hers were on fleek. Like a girlboss.

"Go on," Rand coaxed me. "She's just several pickles away from being tortured."

I sighed, but only internally. "Alright." I wasn't the type who let others tell me what to do, but she was my girlfriend, so I kind of had to do whatever she asked me. She was pushy that way, like if I didn't do what she asked, she would dump me. Rand was so popular, so she made me look even better around me. I was charming, so I made her look better as well. We matched. I would not have dated that hottie otherwise.

I grabbed the pickles, stood up, and began walking over to Misty's table. I was nervous, but I could not show that I was on the outside. So, calmly, I approached her.

Sorry, Misty. I'm coming for you. Pickle time. Brace yourself 'cuz here I come.

It begins.

The tiger hunts its prey.
