RICK'S PERSPECTIVE
On Thursday after school, Rand found me behind the brick wall after school. She was in tears and still not over the break-up.
I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms, annoyed.
"Rick..." she sobbed. "It was a mistake. I didn't mean to. It didn't mean anything."
"You were touching him," I said. "And Conrad kissed you. Nice try."
"You don't understand..."
"Don't understand what?" I said. "That you cheated on me at the gym?"
"We're a cute couple though, don't you agree?"
"Not anymore," I said.
"Can we just work it out?" she pleaded.
"And you'll just betray me again," I said.
"I won't. You haven't moved on already, have you?"
"Maybe. Maybe not." I smirked. Rand hated me being mysterious. I mean, who doesn't. I was a closed book.
"You can't just leave me. I never actually hooked up with Conrad. He just liked me and I was just going along and stuff happened."
"I don't care," I replied candidly.
She suddenly turned mad. "OK, you know what? What we have is done. Just don't come back finding me and using me for entertainment again."
"OK," I said.
Rand stormed off.
We'd just broken up a couple of days ago and I'd left her heartbroken. She'd also made me pretty stinkin' mad when I saw her at the gym seducing Conrad so I had left the gym heartbroken as well. But even so, I felt like she was always taking me for granted and pissing me off, so I would have ended it sooner or later.
However, her begging me to forgive her was better than her ignoring me after everything. Still, she was wasting my time. I could've had a yo mama smackdown with the few minutes she just took away from my life.
Because either way, I had a girl I liked, and I'd moved on. And let's be honest here. Rand is trash compared to Misty. Misty to me was like a ray of sunshine, and you can take it literally if you want. She had a bright personality, and her long, flowing hair would shine golden beneath the sun. Her smile was so warm, it melted my heart.
