I never knew how it was like to live with one arm until then. It was like living hell, but worse. The only good thing was that I'd popped my left shoulder and not my right, because I'm right-handed, but that wasn't really saying much.
I had to figure everything out on my own, including how to open my toothpaste with just one hand. Not to mention the severe pain that flared in my shoulder, followed by muscle spasms and swelling. And now it was numb and tingling. Sleeping was the hardest. I could not move my arm, but when I laid down, agony shot through it, so I had to cushion my arm with a bunch of pillows when I slept.
It was so stupid.
In the meantime, I spent most of my time icing my shoulder to numb the pain.
