The Duel of Destiny! Yuya vs Reiji

And here we are with Chapter 12. This one took a bit longer to complete but I hope that you like what you see.

And that's all I'm going to say. On with the chapter.

Chapter 12: The Duel of Destiny! Yuya vs Reiji

You Show – Waiting Room

Yuya and Reiji started each other down, neither one of them backing off. "So, are you here for my Pendulum Cards?"

"That depends." Reiji fixed his glasses.

"Who's that?" Ayu asked.

"Reiji Akaba." Yuya answered. "The president of Leo Corporation as well as a Pro Duelist."

"He's a president and a pro?" Rin looked surprised. Reiji looked too young to run a multinational company while still being in his teens.

"Yeah, he's a true genius. Became the champion of the Junior, Junior Youth and Youth classes in the Maiami Championships and then passed his Pro Test all at the age of 15." Yuya verified.

"He's that good?!" Futoshi was surprised.

"Yeah, if it wasn't for his responsibilities to the company, he would've made a bigger name in the Pro Circuit." Yuya pointed out.

"We all must make sacrifices for our family." Reiji said. "I'm sure you agree with me, Yuya."

"I do." Yuya understood that all too well. He had to grow up early to support his mom and his friends at the Duel School. Like Reiji, he had to give up Dueling to help others.

"Reiji, why do you want the Pendulum Cards so bad? I know you're not the type to do it for a profit, so what's your real goal?" Yuya asked.

"If you want your answers...then you'll have to accept my challenge." Reiji said. "You must beat me in a Duel. Your Duel School is safe, but your deck is still up for grabs. If I win, you will surrender it to Leo Corporation."

"And if I win, your corporation and school will honor the deal made for the School Duel and never bother us again." Yuya said.

"Very well." Reiji accepted.

Yuya narrowed his eyes. He could tell that Reiji was only challenging him for some other reason than the Pendulum Cards, but he just couldn't figure it out.

As Yuya was thinking of what Reiji's goal was, Reiji looked at Yuzu, Ruri and Rin. Seeing their faces triggered a memory sleeping within him. A memory of three years ago where he met another girl with their face but with indigo hair.

Yuya kept glaring at Reiji, when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "That look doesn't suit you, young one." Yuya turned around and his eyes widened as it was Sugoroku.

"Boss. What are you doing here?" Yuya asked.

"Reiji Akaba, was it? I'm sorry but could you let me borrow my employee for a while. He needs to properly prepare for this Duel." Sugoroku asked.

Reiji noticed that Sugoroku was carrying a package under his arm and he saw a familiar symbol on it. "30 minutes."

"Thank you." Sugoroku bowed a little. "Come on, Yuya." Sugoroku dragged a confused Yuya. The others were curious and decided to follow, leaving only those affiliated with LDS behind.

You Show – Commons Area

Yuya, Sugoroku, Yuzu, Ruri, Rin, Gongenzaka, Shuzo and the kids entered the Commons Area and Sugoroku gestured Yuya to sit on the couch. Yuzu sat next to him on one side, Ruri on the other, Rin stood behind where Yuya was sitting with Gongenzaka next to her, while Shuzo and the kids stayed on the side.
