Chapter 15: Hungry Duel! The Terror of the Cookmates

Maiami City – Shopping District

Maiami City was bustling with Duels thanks to the Junior Youth Battle City Qualifiers. No matter where you went, you would get to see one Duel happening in front of your eyes. They were so mesmerizing that even the people who were working would take peek.

The first Duels had already went back and half of the 1000 participants were already leaving the city. And more were about to follow.

"Go! Odd-Eyes!" Yuya ordered Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon to attack and opponent's monster, destroying it and defeating the Duelist.

Winner: Yuya Sakaki.

"Damn it!" The opponent cursed as he lost the last 10 points he had.

Maiami City – Business District

"Battle! Go! Melodious Flower Dragon!" Yuzu had her dragon destroy an opponent's Fusion Monster without effort.

Winner: Yuzu Hiiragi

"Oh man!" Her opponent lost her 10 points.

Maiami City – Central Park

"I attack with Assembly Nightingale!" Ruri had her ace monster bypass the enemy's powerful dragon monster and attacked the opponent directly winning the Duel.

Winner: Ruri Kurosaki

"That monster is broken!" Her opponent complained as he surrendered his 10 points.

Maiami City – Harbor

"Winter Bell! Direct Attack!" Rin ordered her monster to launch an orb of wind power that blew all five of the opponent's monsters away.

Winner: Rin

"Aw man! You beat me so easily." Her opponent fell to her knees and lost her final 10 points.

Maiami City – Restaurant Plaza

Yuya sat at the fountain tapping his foot as he waited for Yuzu, Ruri and Rin to arrive. They all agreed to meet up for lunch after their last morning Duel.

"Yuya!" Yuya looked up and he saw the girls running towards him.

"Hey." Yuya stood up. "So, how many points do you have now?"

"Check it." Rin showed her Duel Disk. She had 60 points.

"Wow, you have 60 already. I have 40." Yuzu showed her Duel Disk.

"I have 40 too." Yuya showed his Duel Disk. "And you, Ruri."

"I have 50." Ruri showed her Duel Disk.

"Alright, if we keep riding this momentum, we'll all be able to enter the main tournament." Yuya smiled. The girls nodded.

Just then a loud grumble echoed around them. "Uh oh. I'm running on empty." Rin held her stomach.

"Me too. Let's get some lunch." Yuzu admitted.

"So many places to choose from." Ruri noticed multiple restaurants and food trucks everywhere. It all looked so good.

Yuya loved the Restaurant Plaza. He remembered coming here all the time when he would hang out with Jonouchi. They would always eat at every truck, every restaurant and every stand. It was a pig out paradise.
