Here we are with Chapter 30. I could've updated this yesterday, but I didn't have time to review the grammar and stuff.

No questions to answer this time, so on with the chapter.

Chapter 30: The Darkness of Pendulum

Central Park

"Duel!" Yuya and Rafael declared.

Yuya LP: 4000, Hand: 5
Rafael LP: 4000, Hand: 5

Rafael swung his arm out and unleashed a powerful aura. "There's no doubt this guy is stronger than Valon. But I can't lose. I'll master this darkness of the Pendulum and save my friends. I have to since I'm the Pioneer of Pendulum." Yuya thought.

"I'll go first. Draw!" Rafael drew his card. "I activate the Continuous Magic: Treasure Cards of the Guardian God! By discarding five cards from my hand, I draw two cards from my deck! Also, as long as this card is on the field, I'm able to draw an additional card every Draw Phase!"

"So, every turn he gets to draw two cards?" Rin questioned.

"Even at the cost of his starting hand, he didn't hesitate to use it." Gongenzaka noticed.

Rafael discarded the five cards and drew two new cards. "I set a monster in Defense Position! Then, I set one card and end my turn!"

"Now, Yuya. Show me the Dueling that defeated Valon!" Rafael pointed at Yuya.

"My turn! Draw!" Yuya drew his card. "I Summon Odd-Eyes Giant (ATK: 2200, LV: 4) in Attack Position!" A male monster with red and green eyes, as well as burly muscles appeared on the field.

"Battle! Odd-Eyes Giant, attack his set monster!" Giant charged and raised both his fists in the air and brought them down.

Rafael's monster flipped over to reveal Backup Gardna (DEF: 2200, LV: 4) and he held off Odd-Eyes Giant's hands. "Backup Gardna has the same Defense Points as Odd-Eyes Giant's Attack Points! An ordinary attack won't defeat me! Give me your strongest!"

"I set two cards and end my turn!" Yuya set two cards.

Rafael LP: 4000, Hand: 0

"My turn! Draw!" Rafael drew his two cards. "I activate the Equip Magic: Gravity Axe – Grarl!"

"Yuya, be careful! That Guardian is coming!" Yuzu warned.

"Since Gravity Axe is on the field and this is the only monster in my hand, I can Special Summon it without a release! Come forth! Guardian Grarl (ATK: 2500, LV: 5)!" The dinosaur guardian appeared.

"And thanks to Backup Gardna's effect! I transfer the Equip Magic: Gravity Axe to Guardians Grarl! With this, Guardian Grarl gains 500 Attack Points!" Rafael made his monster stronger.

Guardian Grarl (ATK: 2500→3000)

"Go! Guardian Grarl, attack Odd-Eyes Giant! Decisive Assault!" Grarl charged and sliced Odd-Eyes Giant in half, destroying him.

Yuya LP: 4000→3200

"I activate my Trap Card: Magician's Signal! When a monster I control is destroyed in battle! I can Special Summon a Magician monster from my deck with 1500 or less Attack Points from my deck in Attack Position! Come! Stargazer Magician (ATK: 1200, LV: 5, PS: 1)!" Stargazer appeared.

"The bonds between me and my cards are much stronger than yours." Rafael said. "Like I did against Sora Shiunin, I'll protect these monsters just like they'll protect me!"
