And here we are with Chapter 37. We're at the prelude to the Battle Royal part of the Standard Arc, meaning this will come to an end soon. I hope you all continue to enjoy this story and looking forward to the next part as I enjoy writing this.
Adrianwolf4: Some Legacy Duelists may be around the Junior Youth class age, but they still look the same in the series they were in. I mean, Yugi looks like an elementary student but is in high school and Shizuka looks like a high school student even though she is supposed to be in middle school. Also, Kaiba will play a role to come but he won't have a team.
Chapter 37: Invasion from Within
Center Court – Lobby
After Ruri's Duel, she along with Yuya, Yuzu, Rin and Gongenzaka decided to take Serena out to enjoy the festivities of the Maiami Championship.
"Mm...it's a bit messy but this is delicious. And this vegetable gives a good kick. What do you call this again?" Serena asked as she ate a chip covered with cheese and a sliced vegetable on it.
"Nachos with jalapeños." Yuya answered.
"Nachos and jalapeños..." Serena took another bite. "And this colored piece of cotton that is edible and not use for medical reasons?"
"Cotton Candy." Yuzu answered.
"I've never really had this before. It's so good." Serena ate the cotton candy. "Normally at Academia, they give us protein shakes and salad with brisket. They wouldn't even let us have cup ramen."
"Was it a garden salad?" Rin asked.
"Kale." Serena answered and everyone reacted with disgust.
"They're sure taking forever to announce the second match." Ruri looked at the screen. The next match was supposed to begin after hers and then it would be Rin's turn but for some reason, they announced a delay.
The group heard sirens from the distance and they saw an ambulance and police drive past the area. "That's the sixth ambulance and police we've seen." Yuya observed.
Maiami City – Central Park
"Argh!" A Junior Youth Duelist fell on his back as his Life Points hit 0. Then he was surrounded by a group of men in cloaks and they started beating him up before they took a card from his deck.
"Here you are, Master." One of the men held a card out to their leader.
"Another rare card to our collection." The man smiled. He wore a long purple cape with a gold chain, and a black sleeveless tank top and beige pants. His accessories included golden earrings, neckwear, armbands and bracelets. His eyes were purple and white-gold hair. "Rishido..."
"Yes, Master Marik." Approaching behind Marik was a mostly bald man with hair tied in a ponytail. He wore golden earrings and had a tattoo on the side of his face. He wore a purple hooded cape which underneath was a long-sleeve dark purple sweatshirt, black pants and two rather large dark belts.
"Make copies of this card ASAP." Marik handed Rishido the card.
"It will be done." Rishido walked away along with the rest of the Ghouls.
"So, do you still doubt the strength of my Ghouls?" Marik asked.
"You've proven yourself to be a worthy ally." Stepping out of the shadows was Leo Akaba. "As promised, we will send your Ghouls with the latest Real Solid Vision technology."
"And I will keep up my end of the bargain and continue to supply your armies with the latest in rare cards. However, there might be one with a bit of trouble for us." Marik said.
