Alright, here we are with Chapter 36. I'm sorry for the wait, I had to do some research for the Harpies deck since I know they have evolved since the original Duel Monsters anime. I also played some Duel Links, which caused a distraction from this, but I assure you, it was also for research. Here are some answers to some questions.

Godofwar01: He actually won't get them until later. I don't want Yuya to be too OP since we are still in Part 1 of 5. He'll gradually get them later.

As for Reiji, he is the antihero of the story. Yes, he wants to stop his father's plans but he is willing to do whatever it takes in order to stop him, even if it requires sacrifices and manipulation.

Anyway, on with the chapter.

Chapter 36: Clash of the Winged-Beasts

You Show Duel School

Yuya pulled up to the gates of You Show and stopped the D-Wheel. "Man, what a day." Yuya sighed as he took of his helmet. Not only did he have an Action Duel against the ruthless Isao Kachidoki but he also had a Riding Duel with a robot that had high level tactics.

"So, this is your school?" Serena took off her helmet looked at You Show. "Looks more like a playground than a school."

"It specializes in Entertainment Duels." Yuya explained. "The philosophy is that Duels are meant to bring smiles."

"That sounds...far-fetched." Serena raised an eyebrow. "I mean you can't make everyone smile. Plus, why should you care about making people you don't know smile?"

"Honestly, I don't..." Yuya admitted. "But seeing my friends, my principal and my mom smile at my Dueling. It makes me feel like I accomplished something. But..." Yuya thought back to his Duel with Kachidoki, he saw that Shuzo was unsure about his victory, his mom, Ruri and Rin looking concerned, Gongenzaka not sure how to react, Yuzu's anger and the children's scared expressions.

"Yuya?" Serena looked at Yuya with concern.

"Come on, I'll show you around." Yuya pushed his D-Wheel inside and hid it behind a bush so no one would notice it. He then grabbed a bouquet of yellow flowers and he and Serena then went inside the elevator and went up to the common room.

"So, what are the flowers for?" Serena asked.

"An apology." Yuya said. "For someone important to me."

"A girlfriend?" Serena asked.

"No, we're just friends." Yuya answered. "But she's been with me since we were little. She's always looking out for me. She's definitely stronger than me and I doubted her strength. And the worse part, I walked away without listening."

"But at least you're putting in the effort to apologize." Serena said. "And I bet she feels bad too."

"She shouldn't be. The whole thing was my fault." Yuya shook his head. The elevator stopped and the door opened.

"Big Bro Yuya!" The kids all tackled Yuya to the ground, surprising him and Serena.

"Big Bro Yuya, you were awesome in that Riding Duel!" Tatsuya shouted excitingly.

"So cool!" Ayu cheered.

"That Synchro Summon gave me the shivers!" Futoshi danced.

"Oh, uh, thanks." Yuya was a little taken aback at how happy the kids were.

"Yuya!" Yuya felt himself being pulled up by his jacket and Rin was right in his face. "Where did you get that D-Wheel? How fast did you go? What kind of engine did it use? How was your first Riding Duel? Can I see the Clear Wing Synchro Dragon card?"
