Alright, here we are with Chapter 36 and the first Riding Duel of the ARC-V Remake. I hope you all enjoy this as well as the changes I have made to Riding Duels.

SparkySparkpaw: For the first question, the answer is mostly yes. When you look back at 5D's and the Duel between Yusei and Sherry, Sherry talks about how Riding Duelists were able to understand each other and connect their hearts. I've decided to use that in order to have Yuya connect his heart with it. Second, I might include Odd-Eyes Pendulumgraph Dragon in the story, but since it's a Pendulum-Ritual Monster, it has to be in a high stakes Duel.

CrazyPets: Moonlight Dancer Dragon appearance isn't really associated with anything. I just imagined it in my head.

Now on with the chapter.

Chapter 35: Riding Duel! Acceleration!

Maiami Expressway

Yuya and Serena managed to lose the helicopter that was tracking them and were now riding with the flow of traffic on the expressway. "I will admit, I was bit worried that we would get caught but as expected of a Dragon Squad Soldier." Serena smiled.

"Honestly, I don't remember much about being a soldier." Yuya looked back at Serena. "I know that I worked with my brothers, but that's about it. I don't know much before I was sent here to Standard."

"You guys were like superstars. Every kid wanted to be like you." Serena answered. "Including me, that's why I wanted to join Academia as soon as possible. But then Leo Akaba came and forced Principal Samejima out."

"I changed my mind and decided not to enroll, but then one day a group of soldiers showed up and forced me to enroll. But I was just a prisoner, not a student. Apparently, I'm important to some big project that Leo Akaba is planning."

Do you mean the ARC Area Project? Rafael said something like that before we Dueled." Yuya asked.

"Maybe." Serena was unsure. "He says the goal is to create a utopia by fusing the four dimensions, but if you ask me, that's not his objective at all. I feel there's something that we don't know. Even after infiltrating and rising up the ranks, Professor Daitokuji couldn't really find any information about the ARC Area Project."

"So, he doesn't trust anyone but himself." Yuya guessed. "So, he probably told those soldiers who hunted us down some lie to kill us. Damn him..."

"That's why you shouldn't trust Reiji Akaba." Serena said. "If he's anything like his father, he'll use any method to get what he wants."

"How do you know Reiji Akaba?" Yuya asked.

"Three years ago, I ran into him at Academia." Serena explained.

"He travelled dimensions? Like my father and Uncle Jonouchi?" Yuya asked.

"But I think it was a pure accident." Serena said. "He was trying to search for his father but didn't know which dimension he was in. He was just lucky to arrive in the Fusion Dimension."

"Anyway, I wanted to go to the mainland, but obviously, I wasn't allowed to leave the island no matter what. So, he sent the Obelisk Force after me."

"Obelisk Force?" Yuya asked.

"High Ranking Duel Soldiers that do whatever it takes to win. They have no honor at all." Serena explained. "It was completely different before. There were three ranks, Obelisk Blue, Ra Yellow and Osiris Red."

"Named after the Egyptian Gods Cards." Yuya said.

"Yeah." Serena nodded. "Obelisk was meant for students that had high marks in both academics and Dueling, Ra was meant for students that scored high in the entrance exams, and finally Osiris, a group of misfits with low test scores and poor Dueling."
