Tabitha's shoes tapped frantically against the surface of the blood red lake. Overhead, a crimson sky displayed menacingly. Something was watching her (something horrifying). She dared not look. She just ran (ran as fast as her legs would take her).

It was watching (always watching). It wouldn't stop. She pushed herself harder and somehow managed to run faster. Her hands grew clammy. The color drained from her face. Her legs were on fire, feeling like they may fall off at any moment. She had reached her limit. She couldn't continue.

The terrified girl fell to her knees in fatigue, using her arms to prop her torso up. Her legs felt dead. Her tears began falling, splattering down upon the red lake's solid surface. She could feel it still watching. It wouldn't go away.

The pink haired girl awoke in a cold sweat, glancing about the room frantically. Her brown eyes stopped on her friend (still asleep in the pail), and she gave a sigh of relief. "Just a nightmare," she murmured and laid back down.

The silvery half moon watched her from the window, sending a shiver down her spine. The feeling of pinpricks began coming to her, a grimace settling in on her face. She suddenly found herself wishing that that window had curtains or something. With an ever so slight eep she pulled the blanket over her head, hiding from the moon's stare.

"This is silly," Tabitha muttered, peeking out from the cover. "It's just the moon."
