Sitting cross-legged beside the picnic blanket, an empty plate in front of her, Tabitha turned her brown eyes to the succubus. Said succubus sat nearby (also cross-legged), her hands cutely clasped together and a pleasant smile on her face.
"So what's next? More training?" the pink-haired woman inquired, absentmindedly manipulating her staff as she did so. She had become quite a bit more adept at handling it in fact.
"I'd say we've cultivated your rod skills enough for now," Sareth responded, her bat-like wings fluttering a tad. "Boss time maybe?"
"Boss time?" Tabitha blinked in confusion, her mind going back to how 'The Lower Levels' had given her starting equipment earlier. A boss fight made as much sense as anything else.
Just then, the picnic blanket bulged upwards, sending the remaining sandwich ingredients flying and interrupting the girls' conversation. Tabitha leapt to her feet, holding her staff at ready as she took a few steps back, the bulge growing larger. Was this the boss that Sareth had referenced?
A bead of sweat formed on the pink-haired woman's temple as she watched the blanket's fabric be ripped apart. Her jaw dropped at what had been beneath it. The same giant goblin from earlier now stood before her, having somehow appeared from underneath the picnic blanket, its potted cactus held menacingly in its hands. The great beast looked at her, its lips twisting into an unsettling smile, waves of bloodlust emanating from it. It definitely looked rather boss-like about now.
