The two women stood in the forested path in silence, their eyes on the creature (a ridiculously large goblin) blocking their way forward. The massive beast (its pointy eared head close to the ground) watched the two of them from a crouch, its beady eyes shifting back and forth between them. Finally, its gaze settled upon Tabitha, boring into her.
"Is that a goblin?" The pink haired girl sweatdropped as she looked the green skinned monster over. "Why is it so big?"
"Why not?" the blond succubus replied matter-of-factly. "It's a goblin, and it's big. The question is, what are you going to do? Fight it, or run?"
"Well," Tabitha glanced at her staff, "I have this weapon from the starting area, and this is the first level. I think I can take it."
The pink haired woman lunged forward, swinging her staff downward. A notable thwack sounded as the rod met the creature's skull, but the effectiveness of the attack proved fairly lacking. Tabitha laughed nervously as she backed up, her brown eyes on the gigantic snarling beast in front of her.
"I'm so not ready for this!" she screamed as she fled, the irate goblin chasing after her.
"I see you chose to run," Sareth giggled, her wings fluttering as she pulled up beside Tabitha and matched the brown eyed girl's speed.
"This isn't the time to joke. That monster wants to kill me."
"Well, you did smack it on the head. I imagine that hurt."
