Cautiously, Tabitha eyed the huge monster looming before her, her staff at ready. For a time, the beast just stood there, but then it slowly began to raise its potted cactus. The pink-haired woman cocked an eyebrow at the admittedly bizarre site. The next moment, the giant creature struck, slamming the cactus down towards its foe.
Jumping back, Tabitha avoided the blow, but the world shook as the cactus's pot hammered into the ground. Her brown eyes widened in disbelief as they found a volley of cactus needles headed for her. With no time to spare, she twirled her staff, knocking the incoming projectiles away. Since when do cacti double as machine guns?
A quiet eep slipped through her lips as she ducked down. A large green fist passed above her, coming close to taking her head off. She twisted around and successfully intercepted a follow up punch with her rod. Panting softly, she watched her opponent, a bit of space now between them.
The monster stood menacingly before her, still with the cactus in hand. Speaking of the cactus, it did not appear to be missing any needles. Guess that means it can regenerate them rapidly. Considering she didn't aspire to be a pincushion, that thing's needles would be a problem.
She took a step to the side. The goblin did likewise. Ever so slowly, it began to raise its potted cactus up once more. Tabitha sweatdropped, noticing that the fight had basically gone full circle at this point.
