"No! Wait!" the other her squeaked, the pitch of the double's voice slightly higher than usual.
Tabitha paid her other self's protest no mind, bounding up the ethereal stairway, Tears of the Lost held firmly in her grip. The once raging rainstorm began to ease up, slowing to a light drizzle. Small drops of red pattered down upon the translucent stairs as the pink haired girl ascended, crimson water splashing in her wake.
Above her (at the apex of the otherworldly stairs), a gigantic eye (cloaked in many tentacles) loomed. The horrific red eye glared at the coming woman, glared at the glowing dagger in her hand. A mix of rage and dread flooded from the monstrosity, its pupil narrowing, its tentacles lashing out in a disordered manner.
With some quick footwork, Tabitha avoided the haphazard attacks, the mighty tentacles crashing down again and again. She did not stop. Weaving from side to side as needed, she climbed higher, drawing closer to The Wretched Eye.
She arrived at her destination, the apex of the stairs, the place right in front of that monstrous eye. Brandishing the Tears of the Lost, she plunged the god killing blade right into the dark god's enormous pupil. Its flesh split and bubbled, its tentacles flailing about. She turned and began running back down the stairs, fleeing from the dying beast behind her, ducking its tentacles as she went. With a final leap, she rolled to a stop, now back on the tower's rooftop.
