Tabitha swung her staff down, squarely thwacking the mass of branches. In response, the moving pieces of wood began to click, clattering against one another. The pink haired girl pulled her staff back, her brown eyes on the odd thing before her. Was the clicking a good sign or not? In truth, she couldn't tell how effective her attack actually had been.
Her eyes widened, and she leapt back (the grass crushing beneath her heels). A sharpened branch of considerable size burst forth from the golem, the branch lined up to have impaled her had she not put more distance between her and the creature. She watched it cautiously as the offending branch withdrew, and a multitude of other branches began to link together (extending upwards). The great branch arm whipped downwards, aiming for but missing Tabitha (who sidestepped). The great arm broke apart on impact, branches scattering.
All around her, bits of wood began crawling back towards the thing's main body. Holding her staff firmly, Tabitha smirked, rushing the living pile of wood before thrusting her staff into said wood pile. With an audible pop, the odd creature shattered, branches flying every which way.
Tabitha stood at the center of the wooden carnage, bits of wood still raining down. She grasped her staff with one hand, holding it up, a victorious look to her. Then she lowered her weapon and returned to collecting firewood, the creature's defeat having left plenty of potential firewood scattered upon the grass.
