Sareth inserted the crystal key into the lock's hole, the lock popping open as the lovely succubus twisted said key. Turning the handle, she swung the door open, revealing a dark stairway leading downwards. Tabitha stood behind her, her brown eyes peering over the blond's shoulder, a curious expression on her face.
"So that is The Lower Levels?" the pink haired girl queried.
"Not quite," the winged woman responded. "What you see here is naught but a stairway. It leads down to the first level of The Lower Levels. The stairway itself is just the stairway leading there."
"Can I go down?"
Sareth smiled and stepped aside, her wings giving a cute little flap. "Go ahead. I'll follow."
Tabitha grinned, passing through the doorway, her heels making sharp taps on the wooden stairs. A shiver of excitement ran through her as she crept down, Sareth following a few steps behind. From the bottom of the stairs, a tiny bit of light filtered up, providing just enough illumination to see.
The pink haired woman froze as she stepped into the first level, her jaw dropping in a mix of shock and awe. To call this place a manor would be silly. No, it was instead a forest with an open sky, a forest with an open sky beneath the manor.
"Welcome to the first level of The Lower Levels," Sareth spoke with a slight giggle at the other woman's reaction. "Follow me. I'll take you to the starting area."
