Tabitha trudged unhappily through the tunnel, scowling at the feel of the water on her feet. The ankle deep water splashed violently with her steps, droplets flying. A good deal of other droplets fell from the tunnel's arched ceiling, providing a creepy background drip to the place. One of these many drops struck her head, dampening her short pink locks, sending a shiver down her spine.

She sighed in resignation, continuing onward, her shoes splashing down into the water in progression. More droplets fell, one striking her right shoulder. The constant drip taunted her (trying to break her spirit), but she kept walking (not giving in).

The dripping continued, becoming much more of a patter. Tabitha stopped, going white as a sheet. Before her, the dripping remained unchanged. The pattering, though, came from behind her. Her heart racing, she spun about with a jerky motion, her brown eyes widening in horror at what she found. The previous section of the tunnel was bathed in a red downpour, the roiling ankle deep water now a deep crimson. How was this even possible? Was she not in a tunnel?

She took a fearful step back but slipped, falling onto her butt, a startled eep escaping her lips. The rain neared, reaching towards her. There was no more time. She squeezed her brown eyes shut but never felt the downpour. Timidly opening them, she found that the rain's approach had stopped mere inches from her (the water around her already a deep red).
