Chapter 40. Nightmare and stars

~TA 2945 6 of December~

Thorin's Pov

After an another hard day of work I finally got back into my room. Sometimes I wish I wouldn't be the King under the Mountain, everyday I must deal with annoying people, either it's Thranduil or some members of my council. Only things that makes these days a bit easier are my stupid nephews and Y/N and their pranks, I will never admit that. 

And ones again my thoughts are back to Y/N, my One. She is so beautiful, kind, brave and stubborn, in a good and bad way. I couldn't wish a better One than her, all my life i taught that I will never find them and here I am with this amazing person. I hope I could just tell her how much I love her, but I don't wanna ruin her life. 

I don't think she could ever love a person like me. I am cold, I don't trust people, I treated her really bad when we first meat and then I fell into the dragon sickness. I have to many flaws that I could be the man that she deserves. One day she will find someone better and I need to watch happily how she gets treated like she should, it would be the right thing to happen. 

With these thoughts I got into the bed and as soon as my head touch the pillow I fall a sleep. This night my dreams are filled with pictures of the certain little burglar and scenarios how our life would be if she would be mine and I would be hers. But suddenly I am awaken as my door opens and Y/N look at me with teary eyes. 

Y/N's Pov

I stand near the frozen water by Ravenhill. I stand right next to Thorin, Bilbo and Dwalin watching how Azog holds Fili up. Azog is talking something I don't understand at all. "No! RUN!" Fili shout. Azog prices Fili with his blade  and I watch in shock as his head falls against his chest. Azog says something before he lets Fili fall to the ground. I scream. 

"KILI!" Thorin shout and rush towards the ruins. "Thorin! Thorin...No." Dwalin shout. I get up and start going after them. I fight a long time trough so many orcs until I see Bolg trying to kill Tauriel, just at that moment Kili jumps on it's back. Again I can't move and I just watch them fighting. 

Bolg grabs Kili and Tauriel tries to save him, but Bolg throws her away. I scream as Bolg's spear pieces Kili's chest. Next thing I know that I am running to the direction where I saw Thorin last. On the way I find my brother and together we run to Thorin. He lies on the ice covered  in blood. 

"Bilbo. Y/N" Thorin says weakly. We both kneel next to him and Bilbo says "Don't move. Don't move. Lie still". I try my best to hold my tears, but they stream my face down. "I am glad that you are here. I want part from you in friendship" Thorin say looking at both of us. "No. You are not going anywhere Thorin. You're going to live. "Bilbo say and I am not sure to which one he is talking to. 

"I want to take pack my words and deeds back at the gate. You did what a true friend would do. Forgive me. I was too blind to see it. I am so sorry, that I have lead you to such peril" Thorin says and then cough. "No, no,  I am glad to share those perils, Thorin. Each and everyone of them. It's far more than any Baggins deserves" Bilbo says as I cry next to him. 

Thorin smiles before says "Farewell Master burglar, little burglar. Go back to your books and your armchair, plant your trees, watch them grow. If more people valued home above gold this world would be merrier place. Y/N I am sorry but I love you "Thorin says and couch more violently. "No, no, no, no. Thorin. Don't you dare" Bilbo says before he hugs Thorin's head as I lay on his chest crying. "Thorin, Thorin hold on. The eagles, the eagles. The eagles are here. Thorin" Bilbo says. I don't lift my head, I just hear him cry and at that moment I realize Thorin is dead. I scream, I never got the change to sat that I love him too.
