Worried it might have been the bell at seven, I rushed out of my room. This was a bad idea as I was still unprepared for such sudden actions, making me fall straight on my face right as I turned in the hallway. Undeterred, though embarrassed, I stood back and continued on the way with more control.

Thankfully, seeing that there still were many students in the common room of the dormitory, I calmed down from my panic and regained my composure. I didn't know where Sayuri was within the crowd, so I took a bit of time to scour around, hoping to find her.

As I was searching, I noticed Mark, who also noticed me. He ran towards the stairs, followed shortly by Sayuri. My question had been answered, though a new one had taken its place.

"Lilia, what's going on?" Mark asked.

"That's my line. Why did you run like that?"

"Sayuri told me you were planning to go to class. Is that true?"

"Yes."

"You shouldn't. You nearly drowned, then collapsed yesterday."

"I didn't drown. Either way, I'm going. I was told by the principal to go, so I'm going."

"Master, please don't go," Alice added.

"I don't care, I'm going."

I brushed past them and went downstairs. I could hear both of them telling me to stop, but I simply didn't care and continued. As I was about to leave the dormitory, I felt someone grab my arm. Tired of having to tell them I wouldn't go, I simply ignore it and continued on my way.

I eventually arrived into the main building only to be greeted by so many students movement became difficult. I had to slug my way through the crowd to arrive at the stairs, similarly crowded despite the danger falling represents. Nevertheless, I climbed up and had to try and find my own classroom.

I expected it to be particularly difficult, as there were many doors each leading to their own room, as well as another set of stairs to go up a level. I started panicking, scared I wouldn't be able to find the correct room in time, but told myself I always had the backup of asking other students.

To my surprise, finding the room was easy. While every door was open, checking what was on it was easy - and the class was written on it. I remembered being told I'd be part of class 1-A, so I quickly found it on the first classroom floor and entered.

The place was very similar to amphitheatres from back on Earth. Five rows of increasingly-high chairs, divided into two-three-two sets each with a stairway between each set for a total of thirty-five seats. A giant blackboard directly facing what looked like a large wooden desk, all atop a wooden step.

There were five students already sat, with two more standing talking to their sitting friend. My first reflex was to check if the seats were assigned, so I went directly to check. I didn't see any name written anywhere, be it on the desk or chair equivalents, so I figured anywhere would be fine.

I chose to sit on the stair-side seat on the right side of the second row when facing the blackboard. Before sitting, I took the time to look at the chair and desk.

The chair, or bench rather, was made of a surprisingly shiny light-brown-orange wood with no spots on it. It was continuous over the two seats. The desk, however, was made of cut stone. I was surprised at not only the quality of the stone, but also of the cut, and the smoothness of the surface.

Sitting here reminded me of my days at school on Earth and how much better the quality of these seats was compared to back then. It also made me wonder if we had to prepare writing gear or if we would be given some. If we had to bring our own, I was about to be troubled.
