"After what he...Hold on, can we go somewhere else to discuss then?" I immediately reacted.

She simply glared at me for a bit. I was hoping she'd understand I was trying to keep some things hidden away.

"It might be best, yes. Any location you know would fit?"

"...Now that you ask, there aren't any."

"Uhm, Lilia?" the principal suddenly asked as he came closer to me.

"Oh, right, maybe you know somewhere?"

"No. It's more so, you're keeping things hidden aren't you?"

"Am I not allowed to?"

The sudden accusation caught me off guard and made me reflexively reply. This was effectively an admission of guilt, so I wouldn't gave any excuse available to me.

"You are, that's no issue. I'm worried as to why this monster is allowed to know but not your teachers."

"It's...a little complicated. The best I can say is that it involves her but not you guys, I think."

"...I hope it's nothing bad."

"It will be fine," I replied trying to smile.

He seemed to take the hint and followed with:

"As for places to talk privately, won't your room work?"

"How thick are the walls?"

"Pretty thick. I don't think anyone will be able to hear past them."

"I know of soundproofing magic if needed," Cassandra added.

"Then it should be fine if I lock the door."

"Let us do that, then," she replied as she flew back to my head.

Sayuri looked like a confused mess. Did she think I was betraying her by keeping something hidden from her? Or maybe she was still afraid of Cassandra? There eas only one way to find out. I went to her and put my hand on her shoulder, which made her jump.

"Don't worry, it's just private matters. You're not missing anything."

She didn't change her expression too much as she nodded. I guess I was wrong and she was just afraid of Cassandra. Either way, I headed towards my room.

"Is it necessary to keep everything hidden?" she quietly asked as we were walking.

"Everyone here sees me as a yokai. I'm sure you understand why it's best to keep it that way."

"...You're right. Such knowledge is best kept hidden, especially with Niflheim out on the hunt."

"Right. Searching for me."

"So it was as I thought?"

At this point we reached the dormitory. I waited to be inside my room, the door locked, before replying to her.

"Do cast the sound proofing spell now please. On the entire room."

"Human settlements are as claustrophobic as always."

I felt the flow of magic from her as a spell was created. First, an expanding bubble from her, then it took the shape of the room as if depositing itself onto the walls.

"It should suffice. So, for my question?"

"Yeah, he is searching for me," I replied as I sat down on the bottom bed. "How did you know?"

"Niflheim has always been jealous of Jotunheim, so it makes sense he would have it out for you."

"...Did he?"
