"Hold on," Cassandra suddenly said. "If you can consciously manipulate magic down to individual magicules, wouldn't that suggest you are unconsciously doing so within your own body?"

"Oh, that does make sense," Inari-san added. "It would also explain why the initial mental attack spell was so much stronger than it should."

"I...guess? I don't follow."

"I will explain in due time," Cassandra sighed. "For now, we have other matters to tend to. Namely, Fenrir. I don't think he'll give up on what he said."

"What did he say?" Inari-san asked.

I went ahead and explained to her what he had told us. Namely, I put an emphasis on the fact he left after saying he would train me himself.

"...Pardon the language but... We're fucked aren't we?" she said, obviously scared.

"Quite so."

"What do you mean? He seemed to accept what I asked!" I mentioned.

"That is exactly the issue," Cassandra disagreed. "I suppose you wouldn't know, but Fenrir does not take being told no very kindly. Chances are, he only left out of respect for you and he wanted nothing more than to raze the place to the ground just to get you for himself."

The dread they had been experiencing suddenly set in. I merely thought I had to stand my ground in order to obtain what I wanted. I did not think for a second I accidentally initiated everyone's death.

"I will try and negotiate with the human ruler," she continued. "With some persuasion, I may be able to have you go with him."

"I will look into ways to-" Inari-san started.

"No. You keep taking care of her and handling her growth. She still needs help handling her mind, and once that is done, the training she does with the other humans will matter too. My goal is to push Fenrir off to next year."

"Understood. What about her recent loss of familiar, or flight training, or having told the principal?"

"I will handle the principal. The rest is on hold. Too many things are happening at once and we need to prioritise."

Inari merely nodded. I understood where she came from, seeing as so many things suddenly needed my attention. However, pushing the matter with Alice off did not do well to me.

"Jor," I asked in my mind, "have you found Alice?"

"I have, Lilia-sama," he quickly replied. "However, she is weakened as she hasn't been able to feed off your mana for some time. Please find a way to let us both out so you can remake her contract as you did mine."

"Cassandra," I said out loud. "I want to handle the problem with my familiars first. It matters most to me."

She glared at me. Despite her naturally expressionless face due to being a bird, I could feel the judgement and anger welling up within her.

"...You will fight for it regardless of what I say, yes?"

"Yes. Alice was found and she needs to be taken care of quickly."

"Then do that. I am off to see your emperor."

She took off immediately. I looked around the room and tried to figure out what to do. Summoning Jor anywhere in this room was impossible as he would be way too large. Summoning him outside was also not possible as I am forbidden from letting him in.

"Jor, is it possible to-"

My question got interrupted from a knock on the door. "It's me," Tanaka-sensei said from behind. I told them to come in and was surprised when Father was here as well, visibly angry.
