You don't know what to do. You can barely think, barely stand, barely wobble to the wall and catch your breath.

But you know you have a choice to make.

Spamton's limp on the ground. You could take him back up those stairs, soothe him in bed, turn away from the world and pretend things are alright.

But the world is still moving without you. You saw it at the party, in the city, and in Noelle's room. You don't have time to stay put anymore.

...Which leaves you with two options.

Follow that whisper in your head leading you further down the hall, into the dark, or follow your intuition and explore the rooms guarded by those wire guardians.

The EmptyDisk or the wires.

The way Spamton reacted to this place, the way it affects him still... The way it affects you. Everything about it screams 'wrong'. Whatever presence has been pulling at your strings seems to be stronger here. No matter how much you want to help Spamton, with the way Mike- whatever Mike is- wants you to go this route, you feel like this isn't the way.

When you take a staggering step forward, you realize your body wouldn't have given you much of a choice anyway.

No, the closer option is those doorways. You step purposefully into the first room.

...Only to find a single red chest.

Is it significant? Is there something important inside? It must be, for it to have been guarded so heavily!

Thinking these things, you rush to open it. Clicking open the latch and throwing open the lid, you find only dust. It puffs out like a deep sigh, falling through the air like snow. Dust, dust, and more dust.

Fine. So there's nothing here. But there's another room for you to check.

Heading over to the next room, you figure you'll have better luck. In some ways, you do!

-If you were looking for more chests. This room holds not just one, but two, even!

The first yields nothing. Just another cloud of dust.

The second contains a single Dark Dollar. You pocket the money defeatedly.

...No, you don't accept this. You can't. There has to be something here. Why would Queen make these two rooms if they aren't important? Maybe these empty chests held something important once, sure, but all the same- Why have such powerful guardians activated if there's nothing important left?

No, there has to be something!

You scour the room, finding the same vine-like wires covering the walls. Old, broken technology, crushed bits of scrap metal, and brick, brick, and more brick. Everything is covered in the same dust as the chests, so you glean nothing other than the fact that it all remains unused.

...But when you examine the chests again, you notice one thing not covered in dust.

The chest that once contained that dollar has a clean bottom. When you pass your hand across it, you find that it's smooth metal in all but one spot near the corner. There's a tiny ridge riiiight there-

As you tuck your fingernails under that ridge and pull, it pops open, revealing a dimly glowing red button.

You don't hesitate to press it.

The entire room rumbles as the walls seem to unfurl.

You watch as machine arms pull back the panels of wall, scraping the floor and stretching those thin green wires but breaking nothing. When the walls are tucked under the floor, you find yourself staring at a tangled mass of blue wires.
