HAEYUL WAS SITTING on her bed with her knees drawn to her chest as she propped her head on her knees. Thoughts circled her head as she tried to recall what had occurred before she fainted. She only remembered when she entered The Great Hall with Heeseung, but after that, it's a haze.
She heard a knock on her door, "Come in!" She shouted.
A timid-looking girl entered the room. Her skin was very fair, and her eyes were a beautiful shade of blue, her blonde hair flowed down to her back. Haeyul couldn't help but gape at the girl- or vampire. She was stunning.
"Ma'am?" Her soft voice penetrated her thoughts.
"Yes?"
"I said, Prince Jungwon ordered you to prepare yourself for a dinner in The Dining Room." She told for the second time.
Haeyul frowned in confusion. "All of the sudden?" She asked, "What for?"
"We do not question His Highness's orders."
"I've prepared your bath and I will be helping you to cleanse yourself tonight." The girl explained causing Haeyul's eyes to widen in shock. She was totally opposed to the idea of being naked in front of a girl she had just met.
Haeyul kindly declined the offer, "Thank you, miss, but I won't be needing your help. I can bathe myself." She awkwardly smiled.
"Are you sure?"
"Absolutely."
The blonde-haired girl stared at Haeyul for a few seconds before she obliged her request. "Very well." She said, "If you need help, just ring the bell in the bathroom, I'll be there in no time."
The maid exited the chamber leaving Haeyul alone again. She stood up from the bed and walked over to the bathroom. The tub was filled with warm water and the smell of roses emitted the bathroom. She noticed the steam from the tub and quickly undressed herself, dipping her feet into the tub before her whole body submerged in the water.
Haeyul brushed her wet hair out of her face. She felt like she was in the sauna, her feet touched the stone floor as she settled into a comfortable position. She was wide awake since she was afraid to fall back into an unconscious state. She winced as she remembered the dream she experienced in her sleep.
"Hae, take this."
The boy handed her a beautiful white lily, it symbolized purity, she smiled as her finger caressed the petals gently. "Why are you giving this to me so suddenly?" The blonde girl asked. Haeyul could feel her cheeks warming up.
His gaze pierced into her eyes as he moved closer to her, their bodies pressing against each other while he twirled her hair around his finger. "White lilies, they are often connected with heaven." The boy said.
She raised her brow, not knowing where this is going. The boy continued, "Hae, you make me feel like I'm in heaven, a place where I thought was too far from my reach." He connected their foreheads together.
