HAEYUL HUMMED TO a tune, most likely a song from her liked playlist, but she didn't remember the title. She didn't pay any heed to it and continued humming, passing down the corridors. Prince Jungwon along with his six other brothers, had called her to The Great Dining Hall.

She should be feeling nervous, but her steps were filled with happiness since Princess Aene has finally left the castle, meaning she could roam around freely again. The brunette cleared her throat and knocked on the door.

The pair of heavy doors opened slowly, she scanned the room and wore a smile on her face, feigning confidence. She slipped in between Prince Jake and Jay. "You asked for me?" She asked Prince Jungwon.

The latter put his glass of blood down, eyes staring at her. To be honest, Haeyul felt as if her soul was being stared at under his gaze. It made her feel small, but she wouldn't let anyone know that. Especially Jungwon. "We have a few matters to discuss with you." Prince Jungwon spoke.

"What is it?"
"You are aware that Princess Aene will be visiting us soon?"
Haeyul's smile stiffened. "What about it?" She didn't mean for her question to come out as harsh at it did.

"I want you to train as one of the castles' maids." Jungwon announced monotonously. The girl's eyes bulged out in surprise. Did she hear that right? A maid? Noticing Haeyul's reaction, Jungwon continued, "You were the cause of this, not me."

Haeyul furrowed her brows. How was this her fault?
"You told her you are a servant here." Jungwon explained, "She grew suspicious of you because of how free you look." Haeyul heard Riki scoff in his seat. Jungwon peered at the prince, warning him with his eyes which Riki simply ignored. "To add to that, you have been going around the castle alone."

The brunette bit her lips, closing her eyes as she mumbled out curse words to herself. She knew she was going to get lectured sooner or later, but she wasn't expecting it to be now. "Well," Haeyul attempted to make an excuse. "I was panicking so obviously, I just said I am a maid or something."

"And now you've got to face the consequences." Prince Jungwon brusquely said, silencing the girl. Haeyul gulped as her eyes avoided his dark ones. "You will be trained by Ms. Kim, the housekeeper. She has trained many to be the best castles' servants so don't ruin that for her sake."

Haeyul nodded, wordlessly. Jungwon glanced at his brothers, "Any other suggestions?" He asked.

Prince Jay raised his hand, earning a nod from the younger, indicating him to speak. "I wish for Haeyul to be appointed as my personal attendant." He confidently told. The said girl snapped her eyes at his direction, tilting her head as she tried to understand his intentions.
"I think it will be more efficient that way."
"No."

Jay's suggestion was abruptly turned down by Jungwon. "Why is that?" Jay wondered.

The younger prince folded his arms and leaned back on his seat, a short sigh left his lips, "You will be going on a trip with Riki to the Black Forest, it will be too difficult for Haeyul to handle." He told, "If you want Haeyul to be appointed for a higher status, I will personally appoint her be my own personal helper."

"What?" Haeyul was baffled. Why would Jungwon pick her as his personal helper when he could've assigned her for a different prince?! He hated her guts and so does she. Does he want to fight with her everyday by seeing her face?
Haeyul was already sick just by thinking about him.

"I think that's a great idea." Prince Heeseung approved, followed by the others shortly. All except for Prince Riki, who continued to stare at Prince Jungwon with an unidentified expression in his eyes.

"Riki, your answer?" Sunoo nudged his arm.

A smirk made its way on his lips. "As long as I don't hear your quarrels then, I agree." Riki said. He held back his laughter when he saw the look of betrayal on Haeyul's face as her mouth hung open.

"It's settled then." Jungwon announced, "Starting from today, Haeyul will train to be my personal helper." Haeyul groaned helplessly. She didn't even give her opinion in the decision making. Nevertheless, Haeyul reluctantly abided his decision. After all, she was the one who told she was a working servant.

Jungwon faced Haeyul and spoke, "Ms. Kim will be waiting for you in front your chamber. Every training session should be as long as 4 hours minimum. Knowing Ms. Kim, the better you act, the quicker the session will finish."
Haeyul noted his tip in hopes for quick and short sessions with Ms. Kim.

"Also, the potion I gave you isn't deadly nor poisonous so drink it. If I wanted to kill you, I would've done it a long time ago." He smirked. "And it wouldn't have been by a mere poison."

The girl choked on her drink when she heard his last sentence.
"Now, let's enjoy our lunch together." The prince said.

Everyone began eating their food. Haeyul on the other hand felt sick to her stomach. How could he say that right before they eat?

"Haeyul, are you not going to eat?" The prince next to her asked.

Haeyul looked at Prince Jake and meekly smiled. She knew the cook specifically made human food just for her, but all she felt was puking. She closed her eyes and coaxed herself to eat.

Haeyul grabbed the fork and took a bite of the steak. Surprisingly, the steak was cooked right up her alley. Her eyes sparkle with delight as she took another bite, quickly swallowing.

Sunoo giggled at Haeyul, who was sitting in front of him. "You seem to like the food a lot."

The brunette nodded her head, "This is amazing!" She complimented the food. Jay smirked, "Good that you like it." He said, cutting his own steak.

Glancing at their steaks, Haeyul paused. "Don't you need to cough everything out later?" She asked.

All of them halted in their actions, glancing at one another. From Haeyul's knowledge, vampires can't digest human food. They can only drink or eat fibers-or eat red meat. "Yeah, we will but sometimes we crave a good steak." Jay told reassuringly.
"Oh, okay then."

The lunch continued until everyone finished their meal. Prince Jungwon dismissed everyone except for Haeyul, saying he want to escort her to Ms. Kim. "You shouldn't be nervous, Ms. Kim is a kind person." Jungwon said.

"Unlike someone." Haeyul mumbled.
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
Jungwon arched his brow, disbelief by the girl's bravery. At the corner of his eye, he saw an old lady, her white hair glinting under the candlelight. "That's Ms. Kim. If you need anything, tell her." Jungwon said before turning to another hallway.

Haeyul breathed out, preparing herself for her first training session. Hopefully, it won't be difficult for her. She has done house chores on her own, how different could this be?
