HAEYUL GROANED IN pain as the stylist tightened the corset around her waist. She sought for help from Eve, but the girl merely smiled sympathetically. Looking at the figure in the mirror, Haeyul's eyes widened in astonishment. She looked like a model. Yet she much rather wears something comfortable for her body than hurting her body for aesthetic purposes."Don't you think it's too tight?" Haeyul asked, "I can barely breathe."
"You need to get used to it, darling. It takes pain to be beautiful." The stylist answered and Haeyul furrowed her brows.
"I think I look beautiful without any need of modification on my body." Haeyul confidently said. Everyone in the room came into a silence. "I will wear this corset to the ritual however I won't be forcing my rib cages into tiny frames just to look beautiful."
She turned to face the stylist directly, "Isn't that supposed to be the message you're relaying to your customers?" She inquired, meeting with the stylist's stunned face. The latter opened her mouth to speak up but closed it back as she hung her head low.
Haeyul fiddled with her fingers as she began to overthink her actions. Was she too harsh? But it was only her opinion. Anxiety bubbled in her stomach as she gulped, seeing the stylist's embarrassed state.
"Don't feel embarrassed." Haeyul told, "I'm just voicing out my opinions. You can brush it off if you want." Maybe not a lot of people here thinks this way...
She waited for the woman's reaction, her fear growing with every passing second. Finally, the stylist looked at her, a smile beaming on her face. "You really are wise." She giggled, "Usually everyone wants to have their waist as tiny as possible to attract the men's attention. I guess you don't think that way."
Haeyul scoffed lightly. Jungwon managed to fall for her even though she looked like a mess most of the times.
"No, I used to be like that too." Haeyul denied, shaking her head. "Let's just say I experienced a moment of realization."
The tensed atmosphere was long gone as everyone laughed together.
The stylist rushed over with a long dress in her hands. It was very elegant. The dress was black and had many layers. It was long enough to reach the bottom of Haeyul's feet. Beautiful flowers were sown on the hem of the dress, and it had an off-shoulder neckline."That's for me?"
The stylist laughed. "Of course, it is! Now, try it on."
Eve took the dress from the stylist while Elena led the brunette into the changing room. Elena grinned excitedly as she silently clapped her hands, mimicking a seal. Haeyul smiled at her reaction and squeezed herself into the dress.Surprisingly, it fits her perfectly. Not too tight, not too loose.
Suddenly, Haeyul heard a loud bang outside, alerting both her and Elena. "What happened?" The redhead asked.Without answering the question, Haeyul hurried out only for her to see Princess Aene with a few knights surrounding her. When Aene caught sight of the human, she stomped her way towards her direction and raised her hand.
