CHEERS ERUPTED IN the field as the seven princes wore a smile on their faces, all of them were eager to win. Everyone climbed up their horses and Prince Jake waved at the maids that stood next to Haeyul which caused for them to squeal loudly. The human laughed at the maids' reactions. One of them jumped up and down in excitement, their cheeks flushed crimson red.

As a gush of wind blew through Haeyul's hair, her gaze stuck on a certain prince. She wouldn't admit it, but he looks exceptionally stunning on his horse. She watched his movements as he gently stroked the horse with a fond smile evident on his face.

His eyes met with hers once he sat up, straightening his back. He arched his brow in question, wondering why Haeyul was looking at him and the girl shook her head. Although she knew it was impossible for him to hear her with the busy crown surrounding them, she still mouthed a good luck for him while gripping on his coat.
Jungwon had given her his coat, not wanting to drench it in his sweat.

"Quiet down, ladies and gents!" A voice boomed, gaining everyone's attention as the field silenced. Haeyul didn't know who was speaking since the man was in the middle of the crowd.

"Who do you think will win?" She heard Elena asked.
Haeyul shrugged. "I never saw them ride a horse before."
"I think Prince Heeseung will win. He always does." Eve told.
"But Prince Niki was called a prodigy since he was young because of his talent in horse riding." Elena countered. Eve hummed in acknowledgement, the conversation ending as they focused on the race.

"And with that, may the race begin!" The unknown man announced.

All of the horses began sprinting and Haeyul winced, her ears hurting from all of the shouting around her. Nevertheless, she disregarded the pain. The race was more important to her. She saw Heeseung separating himself from the others as his horse suddenly quickened his pace. Jungwon was tied with Jake as they tried to outrun each other.

Haeyul was amazed. She never watched a race with her own eyes before and it was thrilling as she felt the adrenaline rushed through her veins. She cheered for Jungwon, shouting on the top of her lungs, a wide grin on her face.

The cheers grew louder as Heeseung neared the finish line but to everyone's surprise, Prince Niki suddenly rushed forward causing for the distance between him and Heeseung to vanish. In a blink of an eye, Niki surpassed Heeseung and the crowd roared in surprise. "DID YOU SEE THAT?" Elena exclaimed, almost shouting. "I TOLD YOU! I TOLD YOU!"

Haeyul laughed at Eve's stunned expression. Her eyes widened as her jaw hung open. "Your face-" Haeyul pointed as she laughed harder, followed by the redhead.

"How did he do that?" Eve gaped, "He was so far behind..."
"It's called talent and strategy."
"But Prince Heeseung has both as well."
"He is just not as good as Prince Niki."
"What do you me-"

Haeyul stopped listening to their banter as she made her way to where Jungwon stood. "You did great!" She said, surprising the vampire. Jungwon stared at the girl, confusion painted on his face. "But I didn't win?"

"It doesn't matter." Haeyul told as she fumbled with his coat, taking his handkerchief out of his pocket and lightly tapped his face. Jungwon silently watched her as she extended her arm to reach his forehead. He chuckled and bent down to her level causing her to stop in her actions. "So, it will be easier for you." Jungwon said.

The brunette rolled her eyes, "You don't need to call me short." She told, tapping his face with more force while the prince continued to admire her features. Jungwon exhaled as his body relaxed in her presence- an occurrence which only happens whenever she was around.
She is beautiful.

"You should change your clothes, Won. Otherwise, you'll get sick."
Jungwon froze as he felt his heart flipped. He quickly fixed his posture and immediately stood straight. Haeyul furrowed her brows. "I'm not finished yet, there is still sweat all over your face." She spoke.

"What did you just call me?" Jungwon ignored her statement as he took a step closer. Haeyul lifted her foot to step away, but her waist was held in place by him as his arm managed to snake its way around her waist. In that moment, Haeyul was extremely thankful for Jungwon's horse because it hid them from everyone's view.

"I called you by your name?" Haeyul answered, unsure of her own response as she tried to recall what she had said to trigger such a reaction from the prince. You should change your clothes, Won. Oh my gosh. Realization hit her as she remembered what she had uttered. She shouldn't have said that.
Afterall it was Princess Aene's nickname for him.

"I am so so sorry!" Haeyul gushed in panic. "I did not mean to call you that- I should have been more mindful of my words! Please don't be upset, I will never call you 'Won' anymore." She rambled, expecting a lecture from him but to her surprise, Jungwon only stared at her with a blank expression.

"What- did I say something wrong agai-"
"Keep calling me that."
"I swear if you're upset just- wait," Haeyul paused as she digested his words, "you want me to what?" Her previous concerns disappeared, only for confusion to replace it. Did she mishear him? Or maybe she was hallucinating?

"From now on, call me Won." Jungwon repeated, no signs of jest in his tone as his dark orbs stared at her brown ones, showing his sincerity. Haeyul was speechless. Her mouth opened to talk but no words came out. Is he serious?

"Oh." She mumbled, avoiding his eyes, afraid she will melt under his heavy gaze. "Sure." She said before slipping away from his hold and running to the crowd, leaving the man alone.

The prince scoffed in amusement, unable to contain the growing grin on his face.
"Looks like someone is in love~" A voice sang as he had his arms crossed, a proud smile on his face. "Just admit it, Won."

"Get out, Sunoo."
