"Stay alive, love." THE RAVEN-HAIRED vampire whispered before kissing her cheeks softly. He stood up and took a deep breath, preparing himself for who he was going to meet. Kim Daehil. He is Aene's older brother—just like the younger sibling, both of them were awfully obnoxious. Daehil was known for his combat skills. No one has ever defeated him in a fight, not even Jungwon. The both of them has never got along with each other, sharing a mutual hatred for one another.

Daehil thinks Jungwon is not fitted for king. He thinks his brother, Heeseung is better for the position since he is wiser and more knowledgeable. Because of his view on the young prince, their first interaction went horrible. Jungwon had gotten an everlasting scar in his abdomen while Daehil broke one of his arms. The two were brutal. Too brutal.

This caused a ruckus to stir in the whole region, rumors spread like wildfire and journalists exaggerated the fight they shared. In the end, Jungwon had avoided every event that involved with the violent prince. Of course, his actions came with consequences.

Everyone began to think he was scared of Daehil. That he was too weak to fight with him and hearing those rumors, Daehil was ecstatic. He took advantage of those rumors and spouted nonsense, telling everyone that Jungwon had lost the fight even though the fight only ended because of Niki, who protected him from getting killed.

As years passed, Jungwon heard Daehil had gotten immensely stronger, winning every combat with his skilled techniques and agile feet. Now, he was finally meeting him after a full decade.

"If it isn't my favorite prince." His voice bounced against the mountain's walls, dripping in sarcasm as he wore a lopsided smile.

"Why are you here?" Jungwon straightforwardly questioned.

Daehil sniggered, "How rude of you. Are you kicking me out already?" He jested. Judging from his body language, he was languid with his movements. Showing no signs of fear nor respect whatsoever.

"Quit with the small talk." Jungwon ordered and the latter scoffed.

Daehil's eyes faded into a crimson red, canines appearing as his previous demeanor changed completely. He was hungry. Hungry for vengeance. "I've been searching for you for ages to have a battle with you." He told.

It was Jungwon's turn to scoff, "A redemption battle since you lost the last one?" He smirked as he watched his rival's face darkened in dismay. "Is that's all you want then leave. It's not worth the time to have a fight when the result is already obvious."

"I'll win and you'll lose," Jungwon stated, "just like last time."
His sentenced irked the vampire standing ahead of him as he hissed before dashing towards him.

Jungwon swiftly avoided Daehil causing the latter to crash into the obsidian wall which blocked Haeyul from being seen. With the amount of scent blocker, the human had used her sweet scent won't be detected by any creature.
