"Mommy!"
"Mommy!!"
"Mommy, wake up!" A HIGH-PITCHED voice yelled, waking the girl up from her sleep. "Nari, Jeoa, you shouldn't disturb mommy when she's sleeping." A deep voice advised the toddlers. It sounded oddly familiar.
"But it's our birthday!" Another high-pitched voice yelled—it was deeper than the other.
The blonde-haired lady fluttered her eyes open, revealing two kids in front of her and a man sitting on the couch with a glass of red liquid in his hand.
"Happy birthday Jeoa, Nari." She cracked a smile, engulfing the two toddlers into a bear hug. The kids giggled in their mother's embrace, the younger boy snuggling into her chest while the other twin played with her mom's hair.
"Thank you, mommy!" Nari exclaimed in excitement. Jeoa, the younger out of the twin, stayed in his mother's embrace while his sister jumped up and down on the thick duvet.
"Nari-ah, you shouldn't jump around like that. You might hurt yourself." The man nagged, walking over to the girl and scooping her up into his arms. The man smiled warmly at the woman in front of him. "Good morning, love."
"Good morning to you too."The moment between the wedded couple was interrupted by Nari. The toddler hit on her dad's shoulder, pouting. "Daddy should give mommy a kiss! Don't just say good morning!" She scolded.
The blonde girl stifled her laugh and locked eyes with Jeoa, who shook his head at his twin. "Nari, you shouldn't do that. Just leave mom and dad alone." He told.
The mother laughed, unable to contain her laughter seeing the twins bickering such early in the morning. She signaled her husband to come closer and planted a chaste kiss on his lips.
Squeals erupted in the room. "Oh my gosh! Mommy and daddy just kissed!" Nari covered her eyes.
"They are our parents, of course they kiss!" Jeoa retorted, even though he himself was covering his eyes.
The man chuckled. His eyes locked in the girl in front of him. Haeyul stared at him in surprise. For most of her dreams, she couldn't see his face but this time she could see his eyes. Although it's only for a moment.
Her surrounding began to fade, and her eyes shot open. Again, with these weird dreams...
Haeyul tried to remember those pair of eyes. She has seen it somewhere, but she has no clue where. Was it someone at a party she had gone to last time?A sigh left her lips as she held her head. She observes the room carefully, judging from the looks of things, she was probably in her chamber. Haeyul's eyes rounded in surprise when her eyes landed on a sleeping figure near her, specifically on the couch. Why was Sunoo here?
The blanket flung over to her side as she got out from the bed, a loud creak sounded from the wooden frame. The sleeping prince woke up from the sound and his eyes landed on Haeyul, who stood awkwardly beside the bed. "Good morning?" She waved.
"Oh!" Sunoo exclaimed, "you're finally awake."
He walked over to the study table, taking a vial, "Jungwon told me to hand you this." Sunoo told.Haeyul accepted the vial, her brows showed her confusion and Sunoo cleared his throat. "If I remember correctly, Jungwon said it's some sort of potion for you." He explained. A potion? "Is this poisonous or something?" Haeyul said, "Who knows what Prince Jungwon put in this..thing"
Sunoo's lips stretched into a smile, amused by the girl's attitude. "Don't worry!" He reassured her, "Jungwon can't brew potions. He ordered a witch to brew it just for you." An exhale emitted from his lips as he sat back down on the couch. Haeyul stood still. Why would Jungwon tell a witch to brew a potion specifically for her?
She rolled her eyes, setting the vial down, "Indecisive much?" He could have let her be. Why bother getting a potion. She huffed as she reminded herself to be thankful, nevertheless.
"Tell him I said thank you." Haeyul said.
"You're not telling him yourself?" Sunoo enquired. The brown-haired girl shook her head, laying back down on the bed. "Why not?"
"Just because." Haeyul shrugged. She missed the nod Sunoo gave as her mind wandered off, recalling the book Heeseung asked her to read. A heavy burden weighed her heart. Loss of memories. Could she have possibly lost her memories?
She shifted on her bed, facing the vanity. Then, are the weird dreams one of the side effects too?
Haeyul gritted her teeth. There were so many questions that were still unanswered. "Haeyul, I'll be leaving now. I need to go somewhere." Sunoo excused himself, waving a quick bye to her.Haeyul hummed and the door clicked shut.
"Maybe I should just shrug it off." Haeyul muttered, now facing the ceiling. "There's no point of me fussing over it. I won't get an answer either way." She nodded in agreement. That is right. She should just live in the moment. Go along with the tides."I'll find the answers sooner or later."
