HAEYUL FOUND HERSELF in Heeseung's office, sitting across him as his eyes fixated on the book inside his hand. She didn't plan on meeting Heeseung, but earlier today she had crashed into him while reading the book about time travelers in the open corridor. He insisted he could help answer her questions about the travelers and Haeyul was desperate for help, so she agreed and followed him. That leads her to the situation she is currently in.

The book closed as Heeseung set it on the table, his eyes finally meeting hers. "So," The corner of his lips pulled up, "what questions do you have? I might have an answer." He spoke.

Haeyul dithered, unable to let the words hanging on the tip of her tongue to spill. What if he finds out that she is not a time traveler? He would surely kick her out. Then, where would she reside at? She knew nothing about this world!

Meanwhile, Heeseung patiently waited for her question as he watched her mulled over her questions. Finally, Haeyul opened her mouth and asked, "Do you know how to go back or move forward in time?"

Haeyul visibly gulped after letting out the question. Was it regret? Relief?
Heeseung stopped spinning in his chair. "Do you..don't you remember?" He leaned forward, anticipating her reply as it will answer his assumptions.

The girl timidly shook her head and Heeseung leaned back on his seat, a knock of air leaving his mouth. Unaware of Heeseung's reaction, Haeyul continued talking, telling how she was confused about her own abilities and how she thinks she isn't a time traveler, but Heeseung couldn't hear her as his worries became a reality.

"Haeyul, I think you should read this." Heeseung said as he took a book out of a bookcase. He skipped to a certain page of the book and pointed a paragraph to Haeyul.

The girl glanced at the prince warily and focused on the book. "Risks of being a time traveler. Number 7, memory loss..." Haeyul's voice trailed away in confusion as she questioned the prince with her eyes, but his mouth stayed zipped, motioning her to continue reading.

7. Memory Loss

Most of the greatest time travelers to ever exist were affected by memory loss. This happened because they had used too much of their energy to travel between one era to another that has big time gap between them, causing the travelers to overexert themselves. By overexerting themselves they can experience exhaustion, major headaches, fainting, and memory loss. The bigger the time gap they went through, the more severe the after affects will be.

The spine of the book snapped as Haeyul closed the book. She didn't notice it while reading the book, but her breathing has turned rigid. She couldn't bear to read any more of the book, too afraid of what she will read next.

Heeseung stared at the desk, unable to utter a word to the poor girl.
"Y...ou're saying, I-I've lost my memories..?" Haeyul's voice quivered tremendously, her throat closed, and she stood up, leaving the room before Heeseung could answered her question.

No way. She is a normal human, who was born in 2004, she has loving parents and younger brother, she's only starting college after graduating high school. Now suddenly, she finds out that she is a time traveler who has lost her memories.

That can't be true. Growing up, there were no signs of her being anything out of the ordinary—that is until she decided to go to that particular museum. Unanswered questions filled her head as she ran.

Is she really Haeyul? Or was Haeyul just a name to replace her real one? Were her parents really her biological ones? Did she even have a younger brother? Is this why she barely remembers anything about her childhood?

Salty tears breamed her eyes she finally lets out a cry. Was everything a lie...? She passed through the corridors and locked herself in her room. She couldn't breathe.

Haeyul gripped her chest as she attempted to balm her heart. Her eyes blurred and a loud ringing pierced her eardrums, resulting for her to drop on her knees—a haunting scream came out of her lips. Haeyul sobbed her heart out, feeling immense pain in her heart.

She wanted it to stop.

She wished for the pain to stop.
That was her last wish before her vision turned dark.

On the other hand, Prince Jungwon and Princess Aene stood curiously in the corridor. The both of them were taking a walk in the corridor when they suddenly saw Haeyul running pass them, her face was red and fresh tears were cascading down her cheeks. Aene frowned, "What happened to her?" She asked.

Jungwon wished he knew the answer to her question as well. He wanted to give in to his curiosity and follow the distress girl, but the grip on his arm reminded him of the princess he needs to accompany.

"Whatever she can deal with herself." Aene brushed off as she continued to walk.

In that moment, Heeseung appeared in the corridor with a worried face. He ignored the princess in front of him and asked, "Have you seen her?" Jungwon furrowed his brows. "Her?"

"Yes, her!" Heeseung exclaimed, catching Jungwon off guard. He seldom raises his voice unless it's an urgent matter. Jungwon assumed Heeseung was referring to Haeyul since she is the only person they can't talk about in front of their guests.

As Jungwon opened his mouth to answer, a loud scream echoed through the corridor, alarming both Heeseung and Jungwon. "My goodness did a ghost lost its way agai-" Aene was abruptly cut off when the two princes dashed their way to the source of the sound.

Princess Aene scoffed. "First that prince ignores me. Now, they panic over a mere scream."
