Rose walked into the room. She sat on the bed, giving out a sigh. The Half-Blood grabbed at her necklace. The chain was made of Mithril, a metal strong as a dragon's scales. The pendant was a blue-green stone. It had a small rune carved into it.
Legolas had given the chain to her as a token of their friendship. When Rose was banished by Thranduil, he had given the pendant to her...to remind her of their friendship...to remember the time they had spent together. She looked up at the ceiling with memories rushing through her veins.

PAST
*NOTE: ROSE'S MOTHER IS STILLS ALIVE; SHE DIES A COUPLE YEARS LATER.
Rose's eyes and lungs burned from the smoke. Her throat was raw, and she gasped for fresh air. Rose grasped the chain wrapped around her neck as she sprinted through the halls of Erebor, her eyes scanning the smoke-filled rooms, searching for survivors. She had just left Thranduil...he had no heart. He wanted to leave the dwarves to burn.
As she slowed her pace, a muffled voice came from a corner of the room Goshallàn was standing in. "Help...please..." She quickly recognised the voice. "Mother!" She ran to the corner, finding her mother huddled in a corner. Feina was covered in ashes, and when she caught the sight of her daughter, she tried to stand, but fell to the ground. Rose ran to her mother, tears in her eyes. "Mother,it's alright...I'll get you out." She reached down and helped her mother up. Feina looked up at her daughter and put a hand on Rose face. "My daughter..." Rose smiled and leaned against her mother's touch, feeling like a child again. Her mother suddenly looked sad. "Your father would be so proud..."
Feina struggled to walk, but Rose helped her mother walk out the entrance to the mountain. As Rose walked her mother away from the burning mountain, she felt a blade to her neck. "Let go of the dwarf." The soft, calm voice of Thranduil angered Rose. Growling, she gently let go of her mother. She turned around, being careful not to get cut by the cold blade.
When she was turned, Rose was face to face with Thranduil. His emotion was calm, but as the half-blood looked into his eyes, fire and anger rose. "I ordered you to NOT to go inside the mountain, but you disobeyed me." Rose looked up at him, trying to hide the tears swelling in her eyes. "I did the right thing. I went in and HELPED the ones in need! What did you do?!" She leaned close to the Elven King's face, glaring into his eyes. "NOTHING!" She scowled. Thranduil suddenly lifted his sword, swinging it at Rose. She gasped as the blade cut through her arm, making a large gash. She yelled out in pain, falling to the ground as blood gushed out of her wound. Feina watched in horror as her only daughter fell to the ground in pain. She looked up to Thranduil, shock in her eyes."What are you doing?! You wretched-" Thranduil spun to the dwarf. "SILENCE! Do NOT speak, dwarf!" Legolas, who was watching the whole scene, tried to stop his father. "Father, please." The Elven King shoved his son out of the way. He leaned down to Rose, who was grasping her arm and trying not to cry. Thranduil shoved her hand away from her wound and grabbed her arm tightly, making her scream out. He pulled her up and looked her in the eyes. "Leave. Leave and NEVER come back. If you do...I will kill you."
