Rose heard rushed footsteps coming from behind her. She turned around and found Kili. He stared at his brother's dead body. He furiously turned around and began to make his way to the watch tower. "Kili!" Rose called out. She knew Kili was going to try to avenge Fili. But Azog was much stronger than the dwarf. "KILI!" Thorin called out. Rose turned and watch Thorin run across the frozen river. Rose widened her eyes. Thorin was walking right towards Azog, like a sheep to a slaughterhouse. "Thorin! No!" Rose said. She made her way towards the dwarf. He was worried for his youngest nephew. Thorin brushed past Rose and began to climb the stairs of the ruins. Rose sighed angrily and followed him. "Thorin, listen to me! You will die, and so will Kili if you go up there!" She said, chasing after Thorin. Rose watched Thorin run through a small tunnel, but to her horror, Azog jumped out and tackled the dwarf.

Rose pulled out Anduin and hid around a corner, trying to avoid being seen. Her deep breaths turned into wheezed gasps. Was Thorin going to die? Rose held out her blade as she walked out into the open. Thorin was fighting off Azog, who was swinging his mace. Rose pulled out her bow and aimed at Azog's head. But before she could let go of the arrow, a sudden sharp pain appeared on her back. The bow dropped from Rose's hands as she gripped onto her shoulder. She spun around and watched as a goblin notched another arrow. 'The goblin must have followed me here,' Rose thought as she quickly ducked down, dodging the goblin's arrow. She pulled out Anduin and pierced the blade through the goblin's abdomen. Rose reached behind her back and pulled an arrow out of her shoulder. She turned her head back around and watched Thorin. She couldn't do anything, she needed someone up there to help her. Helplessly, Rose walked down the stairs of the ruins.

Her heart was beating. Her body was sore. Rose felt her throat swell up, and her eyes began to sting. She ran through the ruins and found Dwalin, fighting against a group of orcs. "Dwalin!" Rose cried out, her lungs burning from breathing in the cold air. "It's Thorin!" She screamed angrily. Dwalin didn't seem to hear her. Rose sighed in rage and pulled out Anduin and charged towards the group of orcs. She had to kill these wretched creatures so that she could go back and help Thorin. She let out a cry as she swung and hacked at the orcs, killing them all in an instant. "Lass, where--" Dwalin said as Rose caught her breath. He suddenly realized that Thorin wasn't there.

More orcs appeared, and Rose looked around in agitation, looking for the halfing. "Bilbo! Where's Bilbo?" Rose said as she fought off more orcs. A rock flew past her head, and Rose turned around. There, she saw Bilbo, hurriedly throwing rocks at orcs. Rose sighed and turned back around, slitting an orc's throat with her knife. Rose ran towards the watchtower. She darted up the stairs, holding out her sword. Her eyes scanned every crack and crevice; she looked for any sign of Thorin. She stopped when she got to the frozen river. Thorin was still in the open, and a group of orcs closed around him. Thinking quickly, Rose pulled out her bow and shot at all of the orcs. She noticed Legolas in the distance, also killing the orcs around Thorin. With what was left of his sword, Thorin began to fight off the remaining orcs. Rose heard the distant call of Tauriel's voice. "Kili!" Rose froze in her tracks. Kili! She walked back and forth. Who should she help?! Thorin or Kili? She knew that Tauriel could hold Bolg from Kili, so Rose turned around, watching Thorin fight off the orcs. His head turned, and they locked eye contact. He pleaded her to help him with his eyes. Rose hesitated, but she couldn't keep staying away from him. She ran to Thorin, holding out Anduin. As she ran, she heard the faint calls of Kili and Tauriel. "Kili!" "Tauriel!"

As Rose killed off the last orc, she heard a loud crumbling sound. Rose looked back at the tower where Legolas was and saw a large troll bash through the base of the tower. Rose turned back around and looked at Thorin. "Thorin, where is Azog?" She said, relieved that he was not injured. "Rose, there are more orcs coming." Thorin said, breathing heavily. "Leave, you will get hurt." Rose opened her mouth, but Thorin waved angrily at her. "Go!" Rose turned her head and ran back to the ruins. She turned her head, giving one last look at Thorin before disappearing into the tunnels. Rose ran down the stairs as fast as she could. She saw something on the ground from the corners of her eye. She walked back and gasped at what lay in front of her. Kili was spread out on the floor, lifeless. Rose turned her head and walked away, trying to get the image out of her head. Rose heard the groaning of a troll, and she looked up at the flight of stone stairs. Tauriel was sprawled out on the stairs, with Bolg approaching her slowly. Rose pulled out an arrow and notched it onto her bow. She managed to hit Bolg's leg, but she couldn't anything else. Rose ran up the stairs,  attempting to try and help Tauriel. A large shadow loomed upon Rose, and Rose watched the watch tower crashing down, making a large bridge between her and Legolas. The dead body of a large troll fell down into the dark abyss underneath her. Rose ducked behind a large boulder as Bolg jumped down to the bridge. She slowly made her way to Tauriel. "Tauriel!" Rose said quietly, kneeling down beside the injured elf. Tauriel looked up at Rose. "Go, help Legolas." She stammered. Rose furrowed her eye brows. "Tolo ar nin,"[Come with me] Rose said. "I will carry you if I must! I will not leave you here." Tauriel shook her head. "Go. Just...do not die." She said. Rose stood up and looked at the bridge. Legolas was fighting Bolg, but he couldn't hold him off any longer. Rose clenched her jaw angrily as she sprinted towards Bolg. Legolas looked past the orc and saw Rose running towards them. "No!" He yelled, but Rose ignored him. She jumped on top of Bolg. This obviously angered the orc. He grasped onto Rose's ankle and tried to throw her off of him. Rose felt herself getting ripped off of Bolg, but she grabbed her dagger and threw it into Bolg's head just before she was thrown off of the bridge.

"Rose!" The pained voice of Legolas grew distant as Rose flew through the air. She felt her whole body calm down, as if her body was getting ready to face death. She opened her eyes quickly as she fell down the side of the bridge. She noticed a metal bar hanging off of the side of the now fallen watch tower. She tried to steer her way towards the bar as she flew towards the dark ravine underneath her. She got closer and closer to the metal bar, and she reached out and grasped onto it for dear life as gravity pulled her down. She gasped in pain as the metal cut into her fingers. She reached up with her free hand and swung herself up. She grabbed the edge of a stone wall and pulled herself up to the top of the bridge. She felt her grip loosening, and she felt blood running down her arm. Rose tried to pry her body up, but a hand grabbed onto hers and pulled her up. "Rose," Legolas said, helping Rose up off of the stone ground. Legolas pulled Rose away, away from the bridge. The stone tower began to crumble under Rose's feet, so she ran, following Legolas. The bridge collapsed, bringing fown Bolg with it. Legolas grabbed onto Rose's shoulder, staring into her eyes. He had a worried expression. "Where is Tauriel?"

Rose wiped the blood off of her fingers and looked around. "I do not know, Legolas." She said painfully. "I will find her." "Be careful." Legolas called out to her. Rose began to run away, but her ears began to ring and her eyesight blurred. This was too much. Too much was happening at once. Fili's death, now Kili's. Can she take all of this rage and emotion? She shook her head, trying to ignore the stress. Rose looked up and saw familiar creatures. The eagles. The eagles are here.

Thorin! Where was Thorin? Rose's head spun as she ran up towards Ravenhill. She crossed the frozen river, and froze. Her heart stopped. There, only a few feet away from her, Azog laid on top of Thorin. Azog was pushing his sharp fork into Thorin's sword. Thorin's sword was saving him, it prevented Azog's weapon from piercing him. Thorin was battered, and tired. The two stared at each other. Thorin's sword slid off of Azog's fork. Rose's eyes widened as Azog's blade plunged into Thorin's chest.

A pained gasp pushed out of Rose's throat. With her mind completely empty, she pulled out Anduin. The tip of the blade dragged on the top of the ice as Rose slowly walked towards Azog. Her eyes were wide, and she was completely broken. She place her foot onto Azog's side and pushed him off of Thorin, who breathed in air after having Azog push the air out of his lungs. Rose watched as Azog stood up and began to laugh. "You think Oakenshield will survive? He is dying. And after he dies, then you will die. Then--" Rose lurched forward, shoving her blade through the pale orc's chest. The orc grunted as Rose shoved the blade deeper into his stomach. Azog smiled crazily and stared into Rose's eyes. Then, he thrust his arm-blade into Rose's side.

Rose gasped in pain, and felt warm blood pooling in her mouth. A small gasp came from Thorin's mouth as the blade of Azog ripped through Rose's skin."No.." Blood began to drip out of Rose's mouth, but she closed her mouth and swallowed the blood. The metallic liquid pooled around her, but she just stared into Azog's eyes, a fiery rage burning up from inside her. "You were wrong." She whispered through clenched teeth as she pulled her sword out of Azog's chest and shoved it into his head, killing him instantly. The life from the filth's eyes faded. Rose slowly got up, her hand gripping onto her bloody wound. She limped towards Thorin and sat beside him, taking hold of the dwarf's cold hand.
