*Guys, I am so sorry I had not updated in a while. I was busy with finals and chores because my parents left to Europe for about 3 weeks. But now, it's summer!!! This chapter is a bit long, and it will go until they get to the passageway to Rivendell. I will start on the next chapter for Rivendell right after I publish this one. As I said, thank you all for reading, and I will make the fluff between Rose and another dwarf C; Please make sure to follow me, vote for my stories, and comment your thoughts!

Rose ran out of the cave, her heart beating. She knew that these lands were dangerous, and anything could attack them. She looked over to her side and saw the group of dwarves huddled in a circle.

Rose took out her bow and loaded an arrow, but a hand grasped her wrist. "Rose! Come over!" Fili pulled her into the middle of the circle of dwarves, so they can protect her. As Rose drew back her bow string and aimed towards the bushes, a loud voice came out of the trees.

"Thieves! Fire! Murder!" Before she could stop herself, she let go of the bow string as a large sled pulled by rabbits suddenly appeared. She quickly aimed for the handle of the sled, instead of the rider himself. She quickly recognized the voice and put her bow down. Kili loaded an arrow as well, but Rose grabbed his arm. "Wait."

Gandalf put his sword back into its scabbard. "Radagast! Radagast the Brown." He gave the other wizard a confused and slightly annoyed look. "What on Earth are you doing here?" Radagast opened his mouth, but his eyes traveled towards Rose. The corners of his mouth curled up into a smile. Rose looked up, and stared into the wizard's eyes.

"Radagast?" Rose walked over to her old friend. She had met him long ago when she was traveling to Mirkwood, and he took care of her for a while after being banished; maybe for a year or two. He put his hands on her shoulders. "Ahh. It has been a while since we have last met." Rose pulled him into an embrace. "Oh, thank Mahal. I thought we would never see each other again..."

"They know each other?" Kili whispered to his brother. Fili shrugged. "I have no clue." "Yes they do, young Kili," Gandalf patted Kili on the back. "They had met while Rose was traveling to Mirkwood to become a soldier. After Thranduil banished her, she was wounded, as she told you, and Radagast took care of her for about two years. Then she returned to Rivendell." Kili slowly nodded, staring at Rose.

"My dear, may Radagast and I speak in private?' Rose turned around and smiled at Gandalf. "Of course, Gandalf." She took a step back and watched the two wizards begin to speak in private. Rose walked over to the company and sat on a rock. She sighed and began to fiddle with the chain around her neck. It was a habit of hers, and it usually distracted her from her surroundings. "Who gave that to you?" Rose snapped her head up, finding Thorin staring at her.

"O-Oh, umm..." She stared down at her boots. "A friend." The dwarf narrowed his eyes a bit. "May I ask, exactly who? The person must have been wealthy to afford a Mithril chain." Rose's heart began to pound, and anger began to bubble up inside her. The thoughts of Legolas made her want to get up and jump off a cliff.

"You know what, Thorin? What about you mind your own business instead of barging into others'?!" Rose clamped a hand over her mouth. She was talking to a prince; a king! Thorin's eyes widened a bit, and he stepped back. Rose stood up and stared down at Thorin. "Thorin, forgive me. I...I just...lost my control." Thorin shook his head. "No, forgive me. It was rude of me to ask about your past." He turned around and walked away. "Thorin, an elf gave it to me." He stopped in his tracks. "He was one of my best friends," Rose continued." But I had to leave Mirkwood when Thranduil banished me. He said that Mirkwood was no place for a...human with dwarvish ancestors. So I left, never seeing my friend again." Thorin nodded.

A howl coming from the distance stopped their conversation. Rose jumped up, taking out Anduin. Bilbo ran over to Rose, hiding behind her a bit. "W-Was that a wolf? Are there wolves out there?" Bofur held out his axe. "Wolves? No, that is not a wolf."
